    Is this a fake?

Not fake, some games were shipped like this. I've got that A4 page manual here somewhere too.
  2. you're welcome and that was the intent I guess, to play off a known thing 😅
  3. We've just added replacement back sticker for Lynx model 1 to our store. Been wanting to add these for a while and it's finally happened. Both the Japanese PAG-0200 and US/UK PAG-0201 versions are available. They're in the store now - https://k-retro.com/41-atari-lynx-replacement-parts We've also added a cheap letter shipping option so you don't have to spend a fortune on postage. Of course for anyone who has a BennVenn IPS screen in their Lynx we also made these special editions...
  4. I've got some newly made SMT Lynx Cart connectors now and there are 3 Pi 'HAT's left. The design is a little different due to the new cart connector, but the rest of the PCB and components are the same. I'll not be making any more after these are gone as we are shifting focus to the JoeyLynx instead. The JoeyLynx is a USB-C device that can read Lynx cartridges, it appears as an external drive and the ROM is just a file on it called ROM.LNX. It can also write ROMs to supported flash carts.
  5. While you have it open, you absolutely must replace the MOSFET/zener as that is part of a power circuit that can fail and kill your Lynx's CPU, and while you're at it, get a BennVenn IPS kit from our shop (K-Retro) and replace the original screen, there's no soldering required.
  6. Nope, never seen that before
  7. I found one online when I was looking at this, don't remember where, I tried to use it but it was no good.
  8. Having a common tile set is a good idea
  9. Awesome Karri! Thank you for your contribution! I'm starting to think about this year's jam and I think I will let the community suggest the theme this time around.
  10. There's a problem with the emulator that it sometimes doesn't load, I suggest you use an emulator that's not in the web browser. I'll be removing the online emulator in the future anyway.
  11. I have to say the updated Scooternia is a lot of fun. Boomer! 😂

  15. Nice! You should be able to get rid of that screen edge by shifting the LCD in the frame once it's screwed down a little. It's a little bit of a pain to get right though. Glad you found the process easy overall! I've done a BV IPS install into a Game Gear recently and it's much more work than the Lynx, even with the ribbon cable.
  16. I'm unpinning this thread because I've pinned a new thread that compares the ElCheapoSD and Game Drive carts here -
  17. This is a summary of the Flash/SD cartridges available for the Lynx. These allow you to play ROMs from an SD card, on your Lynx. The latest information is available on Atari Gamer here - SD/Flash Carts for Atari Lynx. There are links to various online stores where you can purchase the kits from here: https://atarigamer.com/pages/sd-flash-carts-for-atari-lynx#sdcarts The comparison is meant to be non-biased. Feel free to share images of your carts in this thread.
  18. Yep exactly, though those photos don't do it justice I think. I'll see if I can make time to take photos of my Lynx 1 with the same upgrade and McWill vs BennVenn too.
  19. This is a summary of the LCD replacement screen options available for the Lynx. The latest information is available on Atari Gamer here - LCD Replacement Mod Kits for Atari Lynx. Captain Harlynx

Sad news, will you still plan to finish the game some time in the future?
  21. Interesting, though I wonder if that's due to residual charge between tests. Either way it doesn't affect operation of the Lynx after boot up. Thanks for the update!
  22. You should not have power plugged into both that's true. The USB socket is soldered in past the power circuit so should not have an effect on the original power socket, so you can use it just fine, as long as you don't plug anything into both. Also you should not have batteries and USB plugged in at the same time.
  23. We also sell similar ones - https://k-retro.com/flashsd-carts/52-1m-micro-usb-cable-with-onoff-switch.html
  24. Awesome! It's been a long time in the making and the Lynx had a couple of round-the-world trips too!
