    5200 Tempest

selling kidney now. With all the 5200 stuff coming out. only way I can afford it.
  2. I've looked all over sega-16 i guess I just haven't dug deep enough. As for the tmss I don't mind the wait. I was just trying to see if it had anythin to do with the region mod. Because I read that some of the games would boot up differently depending on which region it was in i.e. Bare Knuckles/Streets of Rage but when I tried it it said not playable in this region. I tried the overclock but it didn't seem to work. I started with a 10 mhz chip. Maybe I'll try a little lower, but then it doesn't really seem worth it. Just for an extra MHZ. But with the tmss you're saying it's in the rom couldn't you just burn a non-tmss bios and replace the rom? I'll just probably leave it alone.
  3. First one I can really remember is SMB2 at a little movie store in MT. Pleasant, SC.
  4. The genesis community is the hardest to find any descent information out. I found out how to overclock but no one really says how fast you can go or do you have to have the halt switch. anyways my question is, is there anyway to remove the tmss on the genesis? Can i program a new eprom? and do you have to put the halt switch in?
  5. It is.. Mine currently houses an 8-ball I procured from Commander Ragtime's Good Time Emporium back in '93. Churchstreet Station. Orlando, Fl
  6. That looks absolutely amazing..I will definately be getting one.
  7. Galaga would be amazing but as I'm not the one busting my hump programming. I'll take whatever I get. I'd go with the Detective one.

Looking for one or two nes ppus. Fried the one in my famicom trying to do the av mod and need a replacement for my nes.. Thanks,
  11. Its a little more work but there is info out there to turn a regular board into an eprom board.. Ive never made on though. Ive made nes repros that way but never a 5200 Best Electronics sells test carts.
  12. I was hoping to get a couple more myself. Last time I asked Albert said he had some but I haven't tried to buy any lately. I thought they were working on a new type of single game flash cart. Probably just have to break down and get the multicart.
  13. Oh my God that was mine when I was a kid... Sorry I'm bored... Just kidding... Seriously though at the end of the video game boom quality control was almost non-existant I have 5200 games in 2600 boxes with Atari 800 instruction manuals...
  14. unfortunately, shortly after this thread, the hack turned to a life of drugs and was found dead amongst a pile of bible adventure games...
  15. I'd have to second that emotion...
  16. You don't want to go down this road. I said a similar quote over in the 5200 thread and got blasted for suggesting people use the search function. Ultimately, I got called a douchebag.
  17. I had some 7800 games that were that way. I could never get double Dragon for the 7800 in the machine. I've never had any 5200 games that wouldn't fit. I think some of my sega games were kind of tight, but nothing that I was afraid to insert.Of the CBS games I'm still missing all but wizard of war, and I've never played it, .

  19. Watching Life's Too Short...Comedy Gold.

  20. I remember playing Pac-Man at the Oviedo laundry mat (which is still there oddly enough, sans Pac-Man) around 82, and Vanguard at the Days Inn outside of Wildwood off the Florida turnpike probably around 86. And on October 10, 1985 (I remember the exact date because later that day I was watching T.V. and they announced the death of Yul Brenner and Orson Welles) I played Defender and saw Ms. Pac-Man for the first time at a little motel in Linville Falls, NC. Unfortunately Ms. Pac-Man was broken and I could only mess around with the sound test.
  21. I miss playing sierra games on my old 8088 with my game blaster card. Getting an EGA card so I could have 16 colours

      Tr3vor

That is some old stuff. Its amazing how things have changed from having monochrome to having color to having 3d polygons, shaders, and now Tesselation.
