  1. I'll go on a date with ya. I just need $200 to fix my car so I can drive to your city. I don't want you to know where I live yet. My name is Sameel. I am the son of an Botswanian prince. My father just died and left me $50 million. However, I need $5000 to pay an attorney to unfreeze the account.
  2. Kimmy Schmidt: They're the Mario Brothers, right? But one of them is named Mario. So is his name Mario Mario?

    1. SmittyB

      SmittyB

Of course, especially if the film is to be believed. (Sadly one of the better things to come out of it)

  3. Also, I was tracking the guy on an amazon app and my location shows up on the opposite corner of the block for some reason. I tell them to go to the corner I live on in the additional instructions, but no idea if they pay attention.
  4. In my continuing struggle with Amazon. I ordered an SD card and the packing envelope showed up today empty. This is like the fourth item I didn't receive for one reason or another this year. They must be having some real issues, though, because their prices were half of what eBay was for 2-day delivery vs eBay's one-week delivery. Perhaps this is the amazon seller equivalent of "I swear I dropped it off at the post office!".
  5. Oh, the PS1... Classic Gaming or Modern Gaming? Anyhow: So, I've had a 9001 Ps1 for a long time. No mods, no expansion port. Just got a 5501 PS1 with MM3 installed for backups and imports. What are the best plug and use expansion port accessories to buy, besides ODE like the PSIO that require further mods and lots of $$$? There are ones for GB/GBC carts, various game sharks and some combination ones. Ones that allow for imports/backups would be redundant now. Are these good alternatives to rare, expensive GB/GBC/GBA adapters like the Super Retro Advance for SNES? I've heard the GB/GBC adapters for PS1 have no audio.
  6. Yeah, like bohoki said, this y-cable pretty much works only with an analog Wico controller. It does not work with the digital controllers like Atari 2600 and Genesis, even though you have a nine pin connector. Ave1 has done a couple mods to use other controllers with this y-cable, but I don't remember if the 2600/genesis controllers were involved. Seems like it was Atari paddles.
  7. Low Budget's Masterplay clone just had pins 5 and 7 tied together on the Amiga/Genesis 9 pin side. Also, as you can see, he did use 5200 pin 12 for powering to Amiga/Genesis pin 5 and 7 and 5200 pin 9 was used for Atari 2600 paddle pot.

  9. Is that second post meant to be a Mad Lib? What is your favorite cooking utensil? "There is a boxing game controlled with an Atari inspired Waffle Iron."
  10. So, the problem was I was waiting until after the title screen where the tutorial starts and then pressing start, or any other button, and it would just take me back to the title screen. I finally figured out you have to press start while the title screen animation is going to get the Start/Options menu. Thanks for the X button info. Honestly, all the other games I figured out by random button press after a few seconds.
  11. Can you reverse the orientation from left handed to right handed and will there be a Legends Gamer Mini (single player) with trackball? Thanks.
  12. I believe Tommy said they wait until they had enough for a full sequel rather than adding smaller expansion packs.
  13. Hrrmph, this says switching power supplies are 17kHz/33kHz. Can you verify the frequency of the noise?
  14. Buttons 1,3,7,8 and * have exclusively one pin in common. Pin #1. Cross-talk between pins 1 and 9? On the port, the pins are at diagonal opposites. Purple and blue SAC buttons also use pin #1. Although, you said the hash key was causing freezing, so, that is still a mystery. What division is 5ms? Each block or the whole screen width? If it is full screen width, it looks like a pair of approx. 17 kHz frequency with 1V and 2V p-p amplitudes. http://arcarc.xmission.com/Web Archives/Deathskull (May-2006)/games/tech/cvcont.html Not to add to your burden, but it would be a good reference to see what the noise/voltage patterns are on the ColecoVision console compared to the Phoenix. Also, from this video from Chart45, the peak-to-peak pulse amplitude of quadrature signals to pins 7 and 9 from his homemade "steering" paddle is 2V. It looks like the noise on pins 7 and 9 is as large as the pulse amplitudes for the steering controller and roller controller. It looks like pulse widths could go down to 1ms at least.
  15. How do you even get those two modes to work. I've had no luck.
  16. Did you ever get your problem with this game resolved? I am having the same problem where it keeps going back to the title screen no matter what button I push or when I push it. I sent an email to Evercade about it.
  17. It's been three years, which is a long time, haha, but for the 2600, the info was from you. I found this while thinking about getting an S-video 2600, had to hunt around to find it again. I have a UAV modded 7800 with composite out, but was thinking of maybe changing it to S-video and was wondering if the 2600 games would be free of this bar effect but have the S-video sharpness on a 7800. However, it sounds like, reading your post again, that the 7800 may also have these bars. It may be why I settled for composite on the 7800 with the UAV at the time a couple of years ago.
  18. Supposedly, S-video on a 2600 usually gives you some slight bars in the appearance. I assume you don't normally get this with 2600 games on a UAV S-video modded 7800?
  19. C64 game that would be cool on Amico. A Pig Quest by Antonio Savona. Could have multiple pigs. http://www.indieretronews.com/2020/09/a-pig-quest-this-upcoming-c64-game.html
  20. Whose ghosts are they? Why are they haunting Pac-man? What did he do to them?

Mm-hmm ... and Kimmy time is up.

    1. The Usotsuki

      The Usotsuki

Might have originated in a translation error.  I don't know what the case was with Pac-Man specifically, but the word 化け物 (bakemono) can be interpreted as either monster or ghost.

    2. Marcos Moutta

      Marcos Moutta

so that's why they call me bakemono

FYI, it’s a quote from The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt I’d heard a few minutes before and had to post it. It was followed by her asking why they were keeping the guy in the game Operation awake while he was having like eight surgeries.

  21. I going to assume either our goofy legal system lets you trademark woodgrain or it was the New Coke paradox.
  22. I looked on ebay for a woograin one and found one that had the woodgrain trooper pictured and even emailed the seller and he said it was the woodgrain one and then it arrives and its the one with the blue, red and orange stripe. I don't know why they changed to these ugly ass colors either. Do you suppose any new Retron77's will be the new colors also?
