Nice job! Completely unexpected also, I presume? And, do I detect some hopes getting up here? Cheers, Marco
  4. Hi Matty, I think there are only Japanese boxes and manuals. As far as I know the carts are the regular US releases. Cheers, Marco
  5. quote: Originally posted by MattyXB: Maybe if someone fly from other countrys to USA then he must pay much for the that. But not for the game itself. Of course you are right, and I'm just kidding. But if you think of it: you got your Bugs Bunny way cheaper than someone who actually went to the show. Same applies to the games that will be sold at CGE2k2 - if you take into account the cost of travel, hotel etc. Silly people who go there to buy games - they better stay at home and ask other to get the game for them! Cheers, Marco
  6. It's a wordgame. It's not that rare, it pops up on Ebay quite often. It's in the same category as Music Machine, Crazy Climber, Chase the Chuckwagon, Q*Bert's Cubes et al. All listed as very rare games, but in reality, it's not all that difficult to acquire them. Loose, that is. The shrinked Glib, although an unusual and very nice find, isn't worth $500, if you ask me. Cheers, Marco

  9. Hi Matty, Weird cart indeed. I too doubt it's real. Thing is, I have what appears to be some type of Cakewalk loaner cart. As Tempest suggests, it comes in a regular Commavid case with a generic white label. The label says that "this game will be replaced by a defenitve copy when completed". There's an error on the label btw, the game is called Calkwalk Cheers, Marco
  10. Very nice offer indeed! Though, I think they are 'only' interesting if you plan on actually using them. An actual item that you can hold, is always going to be more interesting than some virutal bits in an emulator. As a collectible, I don't think these hold any value. Any other thoughts on this? Cheers, Marco
  11. quote: Originally posted by jahfish: don't make my trade items sound so bad Heheh, we're in this together. You must have noticed too that the market for 2600 trades and sales isn't that great at the moment. There are only a handful of collectors interested in weird stuff, like we are. I've written something about that in the new Digital Press Guide. I hope it'll stir something up Cheers, Marco
  12. quote: Originally posted by jahfish: now that bothers me ... i end up seeing more spectravideo units in australia than universum models in germany .... i'd rather say a 6 or 7 for those two .... If you want to put them on an equal level, then it's a 4 for both of them. There's compumates on ebay.de every week! And perhaps I was mixing up rarity and value. The Universum version is not very wanted, it's considered the least attractive version of the bunch by most collectors, "not the real thing". (I'm sure that says something about rarity too, btw) Cheers, Marco
  13. Here's how I would rate them: NTSC Compumate, Spectravision: 9 PAL (M) Dactar-Comp, Dactar: 9 PAL (A/B) Compumate, Spectravideo: 8 PAL (A/B) Compumate, Universum: 4 cheers, Marco
  14. 10. Crazy Climber 9. Centipede 8. Burgertime 7. Crazy Kong 6. Pang! 5. Bust-a-Move 4. Galaga'88 3. Pengo 2. Lady Bug 1. Mr.Do! Cheers, Marco (who just got himself a cute Lady Bug mini cabinet last weekend)
  15. quote: Originally posted by jahfish: no man ... it's RS tennis ... there's one within, everytime i buy set of more than 2 cart Hehehe I've been told of a place in London that has crates full of 32in1 carts stacked up to the ceiling. There's thousands of them of there! Cheers, Marco

  18. quote: Originally posted by Thomas Jentzsch: [QBGive me a human generated list, let's compare it with the computer generated one and then we can discuss the differences.[/QB] Damn, I knew you were going to say something like that. Do you realize there's people on this globe who do not think binarily but in many shades in between 0 and 1? However, I'll work on that list! Though I guess that the Als should be able to come up with some list too, right?! Cheers, Marco
  19. Most common in Europe: Atari 32in1 (!) Cheers, Marco
  20. quote: Originally posted by Thomas Jentzsch: You are right, there are far less than 500 games with unique ideas. CloneSpy is only analyzing the code base and can tell that there are about 500 unique programmed games. And I think that was the original question of the other thread. BTW: Music Machine isn't considered unique by CloneSpy, it "borrowed" more than 50% of code form Kaboom. Now who else finds it a creepy idea that a program tells us how many unique games we have? Silly tech boys are taking over this hobby!!! More on this here. Cheers, Marco
  21. To get back on topic: So a program tells us there are 500 unique Atari games? Now I ask you: who thinks we should let a program determine how many games we can call unique? I know your answer Thomas, so need to reply Cheers, Marco
