  1. Hi guys, I just put up a nice Atari Crystle Castles cabinet on eBay. It's located in Holland, so I'd say it's within reach of England, Germany, Belgium and France. Of course, if you know a cheap way for shipping, you can also try to win it from further away http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&item=748532588 Cheers, Marco
  2. Hehehe, very true. I have no problems whatsoever with the Als making some money. It 's just that lately it seems as if selling carts, hacks, reproductions etc has become a major issue in this hobby. I know for many of you this is keeping the hobby alive. I sometimes think thought that things are getting out of balance a bit. That is, the balance I think is healthy/good/fun or whatever for our favourite passtime. Cheers, Marco
  3. I know that Ianoid also owns the box (but perhaps he should tell that himself) Cheers, Marco
  4. Malagai complete (with label) Out of Control complete Color Bar Generator complete River Patrol complete Cheers, Marco
  5. Tomarc/Motocross double-ender box only Lochjaw complete Spike's Peak complete Cheers, Marco
  6. I have the entire package boxed, with the controller and the two games. Cheers, Marco
  7. Ultravision Condor Attack complete K-Tel Spider Maze complete K-Tel Vulture Atack complete cheers, Marco
  8. Waterworld complete Q*Bert's Qubes complete Cheers, Marco
  9. Hi guys, I like the new lay-out too, but there's one thing I was wondering about: Does anyone feel there's one in that list that's a bit out of place? Cheers, Marco
  10. Hi all, I have, in NTSC format,: Glib - complete Rescue Terra I - complete Tooth Protectors - complete (there turns out to be a box after all, small styrofoam thingie!) Cheers, Marco
  11. I'd say the shrinked Berenstain Bears is only a rarity 5. I have a boxed Kid Vid, still looking for the Sound 1. Cheers, Marco
  12. Hm, that may be right indeed. Do you know if M.A.D. was released in the UK? I know it was in Germany, but I'm not sure about the UK. Cheers, Marco
  13. Its very common as PAL. I take it you are talking about the TNT version here? The PAL Atari version is certainly not as rare as the NTSC version' date=' but it is definitely not 'very common' either. Mainly being found in Australia on a quite regular basis, it appears to have had a very limited release in Europe. SW TAG was released in Germany too, there have been a couple of them on eBay.de in the past two years or so. I've seen Gyruss on there as well, but only one single game so far. Cheers, Marco
  14. I get today the Digital Press Guide 7. And there is the 32 in 1 (Atrax) listed as Prototype from Poland. And I count this demo carts too more as Prototypes. The Atrax 32in1 is a completed game, ready to be sold. Same goes for the Hot Shot games, they were used in stores and sold to the public, complete with manuals and boxes. Certainly no prototypes. So, no you cannot count that, we are talking released games here. It appears to be the only pre-recorded tape for the Compumate. It was indeed released in Australia only, so it seems. Very rare! Cheers, Marco
  15. Matty gave us a pretty good idea of some of the rarer PAL titles, though I think only some of the Homevision titles would qualify as 10s. I would rate them as follows: I would say the following would go into a top 10 of PAL rarity (in no particular order): Hot Shot demo carts General Retreat / Westward Ho Bomb Dual Paks DC-I and DC-II Atrax 32in1 Mogul Maniac w/ Joyboard Cheers, Marco
  16. I'm here Cheers, Marco PS: great news, another Fulop 2600 game! Release the game, distribute the ROM, and sell the proto, and we'll all be happy
  17. ...and it takes only two madmen to get a price like that... Cheers, Marco
  18. If that artwork on the top label looks familiar, look at the artwork on a Sancho or John Sands box, especially the explosions... and then, look at the artwork on the Atari 32in1 box, more precisely the explosions around mario's hands.... a mere coincidence? ... or proof Atari was involved in piracy? Read more on this in the intro to the Atari 2600 section of the new Digital Press Guide!! I wrote a little conspiracy theory in there and am curious about your thoughts on that Cheers, Marco
  19. Heheh, I got it from Brazil, but it looked pretty much like a genuine Taiwanese pirate to me Cheers, Marco
  20. Hi all! I listed a very nice and unusual item on eBay, an Atari 2600 supercharger from Brazil. This unit works with a technique that is different from the one used by the Starpath / Arcadia supercharger. There is an extensive library of tapes available for this "Comp K7" supercharger. This auction includes five of those games, with amazing titles like Defender and Space Invaders! Brazil uses the PAL-M tv signal which is close to NTSC, so most of the Brazilian Atari 2600 games work on American systems/tvs as well. So, what we have here is an item that's not only interesting for collectors, but also for players and techies! If you're interested, please check out the auction at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1943056793 Cheers, Marco
  21. Thomas, San-D and I, both in Holland, are still waiting for our copies as well. Cheers, Marco
  22. I would pay many times that for a box for Music Machine or Air Raid As for the colletibility of Atari 2600, if you ask me, the number of must-check-mental-sanity collectors is pretty stable. The economic situation in the world may have to do something with that, though I think this hobby will just nog get any bigger. What we have seen over the past couple of years is people entering and leaving the hobby at comparable rates. For example, you see long time collectors selling their collections all the time, it's a continuous proces. There is large number of not-so-insane collectors, but they will never spend this kind of money. Cheers, Marco
  23. So, what did you think of the price for River Patrol? I figured it could have gone higher. I consider it to be rarer than Quadrun, but apparently it isn't as appealing as that. Cheers, Marco
  24. Hi Matty, I think the Pet Boat games were sold in Germany (and perhaps Holland), not Italy. These Fantastic Games carts pop up in many different forms and packages. Again, I believe that these were produced by a Taiwanese company that sold their games to several distributors, all across Europe, and the rest of the world. Cheers, Marco
  25. It is pretty safe to assume that CCE did not do any programming at all. I always picture a production facility in Taiwan where they made tons of games for lots of manufacturers, known and unknown, like CCE and other 'pirate' brands. I think they even produced games for Atari there. Why do I think that? Because I've found regular Atari boards (with Atari logo and serial numbers) in several pirated games. Who were they? Eckhard Stolberg put forward a very nice, and credible thesis of Bit Corp being the "mother of all pirateers" company. I've elaborated on that in the prologue to the Atari 2600 import section in the new DPG. I've not gotten any responses to that piece, so I'm curious as to what you guys think about it. Cheers, Marco
