  1. Hi guys, If you are into exotic Atari 2600 games, be sure to check out my current auctions at: http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...&userid=marco_k Cheers, Marco
  2. That Kung Fu cart was sold by Telegames in Europe. It came in a small, generic silver box (in which they also sold the Bit Four in One games) with a simple instruction manual. Cheers, Marco

  4. Hi all, I'm holding a little auction for these three rare Atari 2600 games. Below are the current high bids, high bidders are displayed by their initials. I will take offers for a couple more days. So, if you're interested in any of these, please drop me a line at [email protected] Picture is available upon request $1080 (I.B.) Magicard (loose, blue label) $335 (R.S.) Malagai (loose, nice condition) $95 (M.T.) Tooth Protectors (loose, label bit rough) Cheers and good luck! Marco
  5. I have the square cart. And yes, it is a very ugly design. The T-bar is much cooler Cheers, Marco
  6. Or perhaps they got unused pcb's from the Atari warehouses, noticed how much interest there was in any kind of prototypes and started to manufacture their own prototypes? It's very easy to put an EPROM in a pcb, put it in a case and stick on one of them Atari warranty stickers... Cheers, Marco
  7. And now, for all of you who remember the infamous Kentucky Fried Movie... ... puts on a helmet, tightens gloves, zips up suit, walks apparently confidently into group of people, and yells... R Cheers, Marco
  8. Guess he didn't like my bid Cheers, Marco
  9. Hey, cool! Now I finally know for sure that the "Calkwalk" (sic!) cart that I have is indeed a review copy Thanks! Marco
  10. Well, it's neither I started collecting in the early eighties, but I didn't get anything really rare before 1994, when I got on line and discovered this mesmerizing 2600 galaxy that is out there. I do spend quite some money on my collection, but I certainly don't have a money tree in my garden. A big network of collector friends is my main source for obtaining unusual and rare games. Most of the 10 games never made it outside of the US, so all the games I listed in these threads are NTSC. I didn't list the ones that I own in PAL format (Mangia, Obelix and Motorodeo). Cheers, Marco
  11. Hi all, I have: Eli's Ladder (complete) Karate (cart) Cheers, Marco PS: what is ecpc??

  13. Hi all, I have: Music Machine (cart and manual) Vidco Copy Cart (boxed) Cheers, Marco
  14. Hi all, I have: Gauntlet (boxed) Magicard (complete) Video Life (boxed) Cheers, Marco
  15. Ah, the Devon Knight auction, one of those memorable moments of classic video game collecting. I think they actually went for $1400 or so, Magicard, Video Life and also Eli's Ladder (which went for like $1100, IIRC). For me, it's all about knowing people. If it were only about money, I'm sure I wouldn't have the collection I have today. I've been around since '94 (on the internet) and have gotten to know lots of people. I met several of them in person also at gaming conventions. Some of the early day collectors have quit collecting over the years and that's where lots of my goodies have come from. Cheers, Marco
  16. Just a note here... There's no such thing as Star Soft. Most of the carts that have come up that were called "Star Soft" carts were probably sold by Quelle, which was not a manufacturer. The "S.S." imprinted carts are most likely made by Suntek Software, regardless of who branded & sold them (in other words, Quelle probably got their supply from Suntek). There was an "exposé" in 2600 Connection a while back. There is a cool exposé on pirate 2600 games in the introduction to the 2600 section in DPG 7 too - worth reading! Cheers, Marco
  17. YES! Exactly what I've been telling Joe ever since DPG6 came out. I'm sure there's an audience for a guide that covers all, but personally I could do without much of the systems covered in DPG7. You could think of numerous break-ups of systems and make a corresponding number of binders. Like "Everything Atari", "Pre-NES", "Computers", or whatever suits the interest of the readers. Sounds like a plan? Cheers, Marco
  18. Rarity and values are based upon the experience of the DP crew. I must say that I agree with the Music Machine figures. It turns out to be not as rare as we used to think. Just keep an eye on eBay, you will see it pop up a couple of times per year. Not as often as a Chase the Chuckwagon or Crazy Climber or Waterworld, but it's a title that can be found. Now, if you're talking about the box - that's a completely different story! If anyone happens to have one, let's talk Cheers, Marco
  19. You prolly ate some bad mushrooms, whilst you should have eaten them Magic ones Cheers, Marco
  20. Bomb carts are pretty common in PAL land. Still you got the better part of an uneven trade... Cheers, Marco
  21. You're right. I hadn't read the label is in a bad condition. I'm sure though that most Malagais will still fetch more than $140 on eBay. Those CGE auctions aren't known for their high prices Cheers, Marco
  22. You should expect anywhere between $200 and $500 for that Malagai. Very cool find indeed!! Cheers, Marco
