In all fairness, Topol777 did not say that this is a prototype cart but rather a prototype game, there is a difference.
Point being, the bidders are idiots.

The seller also called it an "Ultra, Ultra Rare Prototype"
That's just plain wrong.... this from a seller that displays ebays "square trade" logo thingy. Sorry, I think cheating people is wrong, even if the're idiots.

I used to have this game and was thinking about buying it again, but I could not remember if there was an offline "botmatch" style game with it or if you had to go online against other people for a multiplayer experience.
Anyone know?

I see...... when I first looked at the auctions, the large pictures would not come up for some reason. Now that I can see the whole thing it's pretty easy to see they're repros.
Thank You.

If these atari carts are protos, why on earth would they go so cheap? Especially "Save Mary" with only 10 known to exist?

OK, I'm certainly no expert in this, but I think I "kinda" know what's up.
The file you renamed to iso actually IS an iso. The 2 files that Alcohol puts with it is some kinda extra information that Alcohol uses when burning the image back to disc. Blindwrite also makes an extra file for "subchannel data", whatever the hell that is, and I've found that I can get rid of that extra file with no ill affect. You only need it if your going to burn the image.
What I don't understand though, is the file extensions you got when you ripped Tekken with Alcohol are not the same file extensions I get when I rip a gamel. I get .mds and .mdf
Oh well, I'd say as long as it works, dont' worry about it. Just glad your finally playing the game.
I was thinking I had graphics problems with Tekken 2 in ePsxe. I know Tekken 3 works GREAT.
Cheers

If I'm not mistaken, they came with the epsxecutor frontend.... I guess I should have asked if you were using it. Sorry
It's hard to explain how to set it up, but Easy Emu has a great tutorial for using it.... in fact that's exactly how I got mine running
http://www.mameworld.net/easyemu/ Look for epsxe in the left menu.
Let me know if you get it going, I could always email you any small files you need.
Cheers

I've played many games from iso w/ epsxe that I ripped myself. Here's the deal:
You do not have to mount the image. You just need to make sure you activate the "iso image driver" plugin. I made all my iso's with Blindwrite, they work great!
Good Luck

The original arcade version of Punch Out was the best. Back in the day, I finally did beat the Sandman.
I still play this game all the time in Mame, but I'm not nearly as good anymore.

Well after several e-mail exchanges, and unfufilled promises of refunds, last night I sent a firmly worded e-mail, mentioning the Hong Kong embassy in London, etc etcand this morning I got my refund.
You were going to report him to the Hong Kong Embassy?.....

Let me revise this....... can I
A) Use my 2600 joysticks, paddles, driving cont.
B) Use my 2600 games
C) Use a supercharger
Thanks
-
Ran across this on eBay and never heard of it. Anybody familiar with it?
-
I was just about to purchase a new 2600 when I read that if I were to buy a 7800, I could play all my 2600 games on it and even use my 2600 joysticks and paddles with it. If that's the case, I'm just going to buy a 7800.
Are both of these statements true?

My fault. Should have looked it up. I've ordered Sega, NES, and Atari gear from here and love it. Shipping is pretty quick and there is no trouble with any of the products so far.
Thanks for the link, I'll probably try one or two of his adapters. Intellivision and Genesis are looking good.

It's about an inch long (or not even that)... I'm using Firefox, but I just checked it in IE5 and it's still little.
My monitor is 19" running at 1280 res.

Am I missing something or are these a LOT LOT more valuable than I thought?

I need to find the time to add 5200,7800, etc. emus to my repertoire.
Onkyo_emu: I couldn't find "sealiecomputers.com" anywhere, but I'm interested.

I'm bored and looking for a bit of discussion, so here goes.
Being a huge fan of emulators, and since I have no friends to discuss these things with, I'm very curious what emulators everyone uses/ thinks is best for any and allsystems, and what if other than the keyboard do you use for controllers?
My Personal Favorites:
1) Arcade - As if there is even a contest with this one. I use a couple different
builds of Mame (Mame32 & Noname Mame). I love Mame so much I
recently bought a Slik Stik Classic Control Panel. Best $500 I ever
spent
I do keep Daphne installed for the occasional Laser game.2) Atari 2600 - Z26 with the X26 frontend and a Stelladapter with original
atari joysticks and paddles.
3) Intellivision - Bliss
4) Colecovision - Koleko
5) Odyssey2 - O2em w/ O2em Launcher
6) Nintendo - Uber Nes - Very Cool, but not the most compatible, so I keep
Nestopia and RockNes around as well. Gravis Gamepad
7) Super Nintendo - Snes 9x - I just ordered an snes controller adapter,
can't wait!
8 ) Sega Master - Mekaw. Gravis Gamepad
9) Sega Genesis - Gens Gravis Gamepad
10) Atari ST - SainT - Trying to get stelladapter to work with not much luck
yet.
11) Amiga - WinUAE - Same with stelladapter
12) Comm. 64 - Vice - Same w/ stelladapter
13) Pinball Sims - Visual Pinmame and MS Pinball w/ pin buttons on my
Slik Stik.
14) Mattel LED Games - LEDHead - Great little simulator!
15) Gameboy/ Adv - I've got Visual Boy Advanced but I don't use it much.
16) Playstation - ePSXe w/ ePSXexecutor and a Gravis Gamepad Pro. I've
ordered a PSX control adapter, just waiting for it to come in.
I think that about covers it! I'd like to know if I'm missing some really cool emu out there that's better than what I'm using currently.

I emailed the guy that sniped it for $176, he seems to think it's real.
