I just got an email back from the Cinciclassic site. I had asked about CC2004 and if they were dead since their site had not been updated for so long. The response I got was... "As of this moment, nothing has been finalized, but we will kick into high gear in letting everyone know when 2004 is scheduled. Thanks for your patience! :)" So hopefully there will be something.

Only other thing I can figure is the build/version of Mame your using. I've heard of Wolfmame but never used it. But DO NOT download the latest Mame32.... all kinds a stuff broke in it. I think ver.83 was the last really good build.

I had that same problem with my Logitech Flight Stick in Battlefield 1942 once. I rebooted and reconnected the usb hub and controller, then everything was ok. Maybe your joystick is a little faulty? Like I said, it SHOULD work, mine does. Maybe once your in the TAB menu, before you press ENTER on a selection, already have the joystick held in the appropriate direction.... You've probably already tried that though. I don't know........ but I wish you the best of luck

Works for me....... using Mame32 ver 83 Heres the deal, enabling joystick input from the options menu is NOT enough. Once you load a game, hit "TAB" and a menu will pop up. Choose the Controls "This Game" option or "General" if you want to change the settings for all your games at once. Select a setting (like Player 1 move up) using your arrow keys, hit enter, and then push up on your stelladapter joystick. Move on and do the rest of the settings. Done! Good luck.

Don't do anything about it yet... but DO keep trying to email him every once in a while. I've had packages from USA to USA take 3 weeks to make it there because the post office screwed up.

You've only got so long (I think its 90 days or used to be) to leave feedback. I was once SO pissed at a deadbeat bidder that I marked on my calendar the last day to leave feedback for the transaction and I NEG SNIPED HIM!! Ok, maybe I hold a grudge too long, but the guy was a real ass about not paying me.

Yes... Check your local "Big Lots" I've bought both usb and cat5 cables there dirt cheap, and I'm thinking Wal-Mart has some pretty cheap ones. For the record though, the cable Atari Age sells with it is not usb2 and says something about usb2 not working (correct me if I'm wrong). I'm using a spare usb2 cable I had laying around and it works great.

Thanks for the input.... I got my stelladaptor in (Atari Age is quick!) and it's AWESOME! I've only used it so far with Z26, but I'll be playing around with it more this weekend.

Avid Fan - No you're not the only one who hates XP, from what I've seen of it I prefer my 98se. I'm always amazed how much everyone complains about 98. My systems have always been wonderfully stable and fast ....... that is since I started building my own with premium components instead of using mass market computers....... I'm guessing it's not Win98 thats the problem, it's everones Compaqs, Dells, Gateways, and eMachines using poor quality components.

Pinman, in the meantime you might want to just buy a joystick off ebay and the stelladapter controller from the Atari Age store. It lets you use original Atari controllers with your emulator. I got one and absolutely LOVE it!

Early Adopter? Hehe..... I'm still on 98se I almost always try to wait out the bugs on everything new, but I figured since it's been so long for a new OS and I have 64 bit processors.... why not. And I'm hoping (crosses fingers) that the new buids of Mame32 ..... or Mame64 as the case may be will bring with it some speed boosts for the more recently emulated games. As for the Hex Editor thingy..... sounds a little iffy to me, especially since I've never used one. I figure that's best left to those who understand such things. I'll end up accidentally formatting my hard drives Maybe someone will come out with a Win98 patch for the game. If not..... I've always got my hatred to keep me warm

I am SOOO pissed about this! I built brand new AMD64 systems for myself and my wife just a couple months ago. I couldn't justify buying 2 copies of Windows XP when I had 98SE lying around for free and the 64 bit version of XP was to be released "very soon". I planned on just waiting for XP64 and buying that. I've also been awaiting the release of Doom 3 for about a century now. Microsoft decides to postpone the release of XP64 til next year while ID decides to not support 98se for Doom3 thereby trying to force me to buy 2 copies of XP in the meantime as well as XP64 when it's released. If I want to play Doom 3 it'll cost me about $250! Well I'm not gonna do it I tell ya!!! I'll just sit here crying about not being able to play Doom until next year and cussing Bill Gates the whole time. They planned this crap to force gamers still using 98se (tens of thousands of us) to upgrade to XP. Although this is kind of a lighthearted rant I honestly do believe ID and MS are in bed together on this. Try to tell me it doesn't sound like a tactic MS would use........... Scumbag, pieces of crap, filthy rich, gotta have a little more, no good, slimy, goatsucking weasels. Your mother was a hamster!!!!!! Whew!!!! Thanks for letting me vent........ I feel better

Follow Up: The post office actually managed to break rocks that I ordered one time......... ROCKS FOR GODS SAKE!!!! How do you do that? I do a lot of buying and selling on ebay, and I can't believe how many things the usps has broken. I've sold lots of glassware items on ebay and I've quit doing it because the inevitable breakage and insurance process is just too much trouble.
