1. Very cool, whats up with the baseball bat?
2. I usualy write them on the walls of public bathrooms.
3. I'm not going to read the entire thing, it'll depress me too much. I never find things like some of these lucky people do. I've had some pretty good finds, but not like some of you guys. 868352 Persistence and luck, I've gone months with out finding jack. then when I do its all joy.
4. boxing, but get a second player to beat up on.
5. I dont remember it as a crash per say, however I do remember my friends were not playing games any more. I do remember the atari commercials when nintendo came out "under 40 bucks".
6. Today at the dirt mall (flea market): 4 switch woody Pong machine Star Raiders controller w overlay 2 power adapters golf pitfall video pinball galaga (nes) snake's revenge (nes) super r-type (snes) saturn controller and joycard sansui sss (stereo sound simulator) NES controller(R4, not bad for a controller) . It has a RCA plug that goes to the audio out at the concole, and a headphone jack in the controller. DP guide states that the audio moves left or right when you move that direction on the d-pad. all for $70. Not a steal but fair I think.
7. I also got super r-type today. havent pluged in a SNES in months though, and still have lots of games to play/test for it.
8. Or you could make your own composite cable. here I've made one and it works.
9. You have no soul. 863743 They were all boxed and I just left the boxes to anger someone in the future.
10. Some stuff I stole from a thrift in the last month. KABOOM! (I always scream KABOOM!) Warlords, Sneak'n peek, barnstorming, warplock, Sears SI, Arcade golf & baseball, All cheap, the acti's are nearly plaqueless. I also got (all NES) Hatris, Yo noid, Skate or die, Bubble bobbel & Dr Mario for free from a pawn shop for answering some questions about some glass (My trade is, glazier) for his display cases. When I called with a quote for the glass work he ofered to barter for firearms. Better than chickens I guess, Free NES games though.
11. I've thought of customizing some labels for fun on some dupes with crappy labels. I'm not very good with computer art though. Its like someone putting a cool, new, custom paintjob on a classic car. Some people will like it and some will say you ruined it.
12. My box is the result of having one or two games that I'm really into at the moment, so I dont have time to play all of the new/old ones. And I usualy wont play a game unless I can devote an hour or two (sometimes less for simpler games) to get a feel for the gameplay, and decide if I like it or not. For a while I was changing to a different console every week but I got to lazy/busy to do even that. I think I'll take over the spare bedroom and set up a few systems in there. My car is down for now so I havent been adding to much lately, meaby I can catch up.
13. I'm also looking forward to CivIV, the PS3 stuff is looking great also with the return of Warhawk aswell. I can only afford 1 current system so I'll probably stick with sony next year.
14. So about 2 months back I come home with a big box of Intelly games (36, mostly all boxed with over lays) and I dont have time to test/play all of them, and they stay in the box. A day/week or whatever later I add some nes games and some Saturn games some one gave me, them a couple N64 games, next a PS1 title, last week RE outbreak for PS3, this week 2 DC titles. I look at the box every day and feel a little guilt for neglecting my hobby. I dont spend a crap load on my collection, about $50-$100 monthly sometimes a bit more if several good deals come all at once wich is how I got this box in the first place. Do you have the box? Some of you probably ave several. I think when I use a forklift to unload my games I'll get help.
15. In '77 Star Wars was a bit of an upstart as well. All new special effects that have never been seen before, and the make-up for all the alien races. In '76 who knew that Atari and Star Wars would be so huge in the coming years? If there was a Star Wars for Atari they probably would have sold more consoles. I'm not sure how they did the first year (anybody know?), but everything Star Wars sold back then.
16. That looks really cool, it looks bootleg (I'm no expert) but its very cool. Even if its not authorized by activision I'd love to have it, thanks for sharing the pics.
17. I dont play a lot of CV but that sounds real cool, I'm in for a $100 bucks or less.
18. I havent been in a game store in a few weeks and found this deal at my local EB, Free "Plan 9 From Outer Space" DVD with reservation of "Destroy All Humans"game stop has the same deal (scroll down for movie review). I've been waiting for this game since last summer when it was advertised as "comming this fall" I've heard its an open ended (GTAish) and the movie bonus is great. I just hope its worth the wait.
19. Intelligent Qube Resident Evil series Twisted Metal 1&2 Tomb Raider Felony 11 79 GTA 2 Road Rash PO'ed not in any order
20. I've been trying to aquire all the Road Rash titles for all consoles. A fairly easy goal but a realistic one that I will complete shortly.
21. This guy I work with who is 56 plays Frogger all the time, its just the recent plug and play version he dosent have a VCS. He and his wife try to top each others scores. I guess for older folks the simpler classics are pleanty fun enough, I agree.
22. Check your local pawn shops, I've cleaned mine out here. I've found lots of genny games for a buck or two.
23. meaby EA games dont play upside down. Sorry couldnt resist the down-under crack.
