  1. Infogrames cant be making that much money, EA hasnt bought them out yet. These flashback games are probably pretty cheap to make too, they didnt have to come up with any thing new. The're just riding the nostalgia/retro gaming wave. I personaly hope they never make a new console, because all the cart prices would go up due to increased demand, if it were reverse compatible.
  2. I almost won the 2 halves game ,well sort of a friend of mine got one half and I got the other. He wouldnt give it to me even though he already had a computer. But of course I wouldnt give him my half either so nobody got the Prize.
  3. thats a pretty short list in the scope of things, I've been waiting for mine since forever, cant wait.
  4. Mine does this every couple of weeks, sounds like a dusty lense. Get some caned air, I like to leave the CD tray open so I can blow air in their too.
  5. A friend of mine had season passes to SixFlags (he's from Dallas so I asume thats where it was), so he goes there all the time in the summer and he saw a park worker give someone a free game of skeeball with a type of slimjim that looked like a token on a long spoon handle. So he goes home and makes one, goes back to SixFlags and it works. He gets an idea and plays skeeball for a hour or so, gets a but load of tickets and trades in for the biggest stuffed animal they had, and sells it to a dad for his little girl. He told me he would do this alot since it was free to enter the park, and he had nothing better to do in the summer and wanted some money to play video games, and buy weed. My favorite skeeball trick is to find a little kid to run up ramp and drop the balls in the middle hole. This is fun because you teach kids that cheating is fun and they use up all that extra energy they have.
  6. Just my personal favs. 1. Galaga 2. Smash TV 3. Silent Scope 4. Blitz 5. AfterBurner
  7. I had to do that mission a few times, Get an MP5/SMG it packs the best punch with a good rate of fire.
  8. I remember those old cable boxes/remote controls you could stick a flat toothpick inside next to the switches and presto HBO, an early cable hack.
  9. That sounds about right, if you consider you dont have to pay a mint to have it shiped, and you can test it first. I had a lot of fun with the apple 2 back in the day, and have one on my list for the future.
  10. Never found anything in my area, except for a localy owned game store that has few atari items. I got a couple dozen commons I didnt have, a couple controllers, a few manuals including a 1977 VCS owners manual. Pretty slim pickins.
  11. Just got the PS2 "Midway Arcade Treasures" with "Smash TV" Just awesome, I never realized how many quaters I droped in those machines, I didnt count how many times I hit start but it was a lot. It's also has "Klax" one of my favorite arcade puzzle games. highly recomend.
  12. Put that bitch online, imagine 20 or 30 CJ's running around messing shit up. You could start a new gang, compete against each other, race cars, pimp your friends, or my favorite general mahem and chaos.
  13. What ever you do absolutely! get "SEGA Bass Fishing" and a "Fission Fishing Controler" this is the greatest fishing game ever made. I've seen game and controller packages on ebay for good value.
  14. I made a custom dual joystick for Genesis Smash TV back in the day from a pair of 7800 contollers, and it worked great! I attached them to a piece of sheet metal by removing the screws from the bottoms of the controllers and reattaching them through the sheet metal. Had to experiment with the buttons to select the game options, but they worked fine as well. It game me a real arcade feel, and I still had it around until I found the version of STV on the PS1 Arcade Party Pak that utilized the dual analog sticks...a great port! Rich Thanks for the 7800 joystick idea, I can get a set of those cheaper than genny sticks. I'll have to check out that PS1 title to. To bad you dont have a pic of that old joy stick.
  15. Whats all this about mission skip again, WTF. Its a game its suposed to be at least a little challenging. I've never played a game where I didnt have to do some things at least a few times before I advanced. Sure some of the missions are kind of goffy, but there are plenty of things to do when you get tired of doing missions. Go explore, go on a killing spree, or just pimp it. I do miss the rampages from the previous games though.
  16. Yea I havent played in a week or so just got to a point and had to play something else. I do this with almost all my games though. I got probably 3 or 4 titles on the shelf that I'm 75 to 90% done with?
  17. I dont think they are alienating their best market, their best market is the impulse buyer who sees one of these in the store and says "OH AH I remember that from way back when, it not that much" and cha ching.
  18. Yes, it's a tragedy to see what happened with Origin. I moved here to Austin not long after EA took them over, and still had aspirations to work for them at some point (I was working for Looking Glass Technologies at the time). However, many of the people I worked with here in Austin had worked for Origin in the past, and they all had stories about how the company had gone downhill after EA took over. The axe finally fell a few months ago, sending several hundred employees looking for work elsewhere. It's sad driving by that building and seeing that the Origin sign has been removed. ..Al Ya I read recently they baught "Criterion" a company that makes development tools "RenderWare" wich is said to be being used in over 500 games that are out or in development, or something like 1 in 4 console games in the works. Meaby EA is getting to big for its britches, or for the betterment of gaming in general.
  19. I was at EB the other day, and the store employee was telling the guy in front of me they were out also and he could reserve one, and that they should be in next week. He also said alot of people are reserveing them. I dont no how many alot is though.
  20. Thanks I'll check out that midway arcade. To bad I modded my only spare genny controller for the 2600, not hard to find another though.
  21. Picked up Super Smash TV for Genesis the other day for a buck at a pawn. Its pretty close to the arcade version, and I noticed you can set it up for 1 player/2 controllers. I guessing it would be best with 2 joystick controllers wich I dont have. Has any one tried this? How well does it work? This is tied for 1st on my all-time favorite arcade games list. Me and my buddy would play till the end, put in a couple bucks and go. We'd be sweating profusely and have blisters from the joysticks, it was "aaaawesome"
  22. I like the Vader for cool looks, but get the best deal and dont get in a bidding war, figure out what you want, and dont be affraid to pass on something, there are millions out there.
  23. I dont know what to tell you, I havent completed any airport missions. I only have the pilots license, Tried the first one a couple times thats it. Have you used any codes? meaby you need a certain level of pilot skill? The brady guide says you only need a license though.
