  1. Wow ... imagine going to a garage sale with an old lady sittin there, offering you a 2600 with joysticks, about 10 games, and Air Raid, trying to sell it to you for 10 bucks.  Now THAT'S what I'm talkin about.  If only ... :D  I'm gonna start sweepin garage sales hahaha

I'd try to talk her down on the price just for kicks. I personaly like spoting a console at a roadside yardsale doing 65MPH (almost rear-ended a miata with my full size chevy 3500 van, once while looking).

  2. I think they just do basic hex math problems, wich a pain in the ass to do on paper, and not practical if you dont have a million dollar computer that runs software from punchcards or massive banks of tape drives. Its like you use a small slow computer to solve problems to make another slightly larger slightly faster computer with more features, repeat, and so on. These things were for only the biggest nerds who were into higher math and couldnt get time on a large computer at universities or large companies, and I think you could build them yourself. I learned basic microprocessor archicture and operations on an 8080, or an 8088 based trainer machine, this shit makes your head hurt if you if you think about it to hard, getting this box to blink right to pass a test.

  3. I guess I'm a bit of an old schooler, I'm deffinately reluctant to try games with new features such as the strictly online games. I've naver even played a game online, LAN yes or linked consoles yes. Just havent gotten around to it yet I guess. I rarely buy a brand new super hyped-up game, of the newer games I do buy, I'll usualy wait for something that really breaks some new ground, In the game play it self, not ground shaking just something that realy gets my attention, or something super addictive. Resident Evil, GTA3, and IQ did this for me, sure I like the guilty pleasure FPS. Thinking about the RE outbreak. I like the idea of becoming a zombie when I die.

  4. The old Atari is never coming back. Atari is just a name, if I changed my name to John Holmes is my pecker gona grow, no. It costs a lot of money to get into the hardware market in manufacturing, new software development, distribution, dont forget a billion dollars for advertising. then theres competition. and last I checked the games store was full. Besides there's pretty good money in software ask Bill Gates.

  5. I think the show was pure television, I mean eventhough you know there are inconsistencies you overlook them to focus on what is being discussed. its like making a movie based on a book, the book is always better. The title wasnt "The History of Video Games" the PBS program description stated the show starts by "examining" the history, business and something about social impact. Do real doctors watch ER and not find errors in the shows content. I reread the program description and it describes just what was in the show.

I would definatey lay a whopping on that kid Alexander and bitch slap his stupid, psycho-babble, sissy dad.

I loved that SEGA commercial, I remember the ones for Saturn were really twisted at first and then they cleaned em up a little.

  6. I love the TV, my mom used to bitch at me for turning the knobs to fast or to often, old scool channel sufring where you had to get up a walk up to the TV to the change to one of the other 4 channels. "go outside and move the antenna!"
