I think the show was pure television, I mean eventhough you know there are inconsistencies you overlook them to focus on what is being discussed. its like making a movie based on a book, the book is always better. The title wasnt "The History of Video Games" the PBS program description stated the show starts by "examining" the history, business and something about social impact. Do real doctors watch ER and not find errors in the shows content. I reread the program description and it describes just what was in the show. I would definatey lay a whopping on that kid Alexander and bitch slap his stupid, psycho-babble, sissy dad. I loved that SEGA commercial, I remember the ones for Saturn were really twisted at first and then they cleaned em up a little.

I love the TV, my mom used to bitch at me for turning the knobs to fast or to often, old scool channel sufring where you had to get up a walk up to the TV to the change to one of the other 4 channels. "go outside and move the antenna!"

I dont think it will crash, since the ps2 is reverse compatable with psx games this gives you a butt load of games to play. shure atari and sega did this, but its definately the standard now. as far as comicbooks all the baby boomers bought like 10 coppies of all those books as an investment thinking they'll be rare one day, but they'll never be rare because all these people bought like 10 coppies. there may be less smaller companies making games, but demand will increase and the big guys wont be able to keep up, and its not like they have a monopoly on good ideas and creativity.

That guy was diffinately decietfull, however I really think suckers deserve to loose their money. I've got a closet full of snake oil (good for most anything) I think I'll put em' up for audtion.

I just received a heavy this past week, won it on ebay for about $50 total with shipping. It came with 30 something games but didnt have a power adapter and was untested so it was a bit of a gamble. It was through one of those 3rd party estate sales (so they claim?). however it did work, and I did wait on this a while. I think If you are patient and set your own price, lose on a few auctions (not a big deal they made millions of these things) You'll get what you want.

That movie did suck. The lazyass could of at least removed the commercials.

Will your game collection fit in a shopping cart? looking a little grim for you. You cant play Atari in the rain. I read a book called "The Grapes of Wrath" once, and when ever I think life sucks I just think about them folks. Its only stuff it can replaced, hope things improve.

I wouldnt play those on my enemies atari. you can tell wich ones were on the bottom of the box (water) and the ones on top (chewed by a rat or mouse they love paper).

Its only been 27 years wait until its been 50 years and the rarity will increase. Ford made millions of model T's but they were not very rare in the 30's, but they are now. $49 does seem a little extreme, I hope they work. I'd be afraid to use em', kinda like moms new carpet "DONT WALK ON IT"

I was to poor as a kid (no shoes in summer, B&W TV poor) so I had to go to friends and famlies houses to play video games, or look for deposit bottles to go to the arcade. I got my first 2600 at a flea market in 95' for $20.00 and hagled 10 games in on the deal. In 2001 I was moving/running (flight from prosecution) I had to lighten the load so I threw my 2600 in an old well that had reopened in my yard. My crusty ole' slumlord landlord told me "My daddy dug that well back 32' if Ya got any trash when ya move jus throw it down there". So in it went but I kept my carts and have since been apprehended.
