Vintage games, Transformers, Star Wars, and any other toys from the 70s and 80s. I make custom leather and wooden items. I really enjoy restoring vintage toys and stuff, but I'm on a fixed income, so most of the things I enjoy get put on the back burner.

  1. I think I've set a new record for myself! I've managed to listen to nothing but Steely Dan for well over 2 months now. I have a habit of sticking with one band until I get tired of their music, but there's just something about Steely Dan that never gets old!

I started out listening to the Royal Scam Album on an almost home built record player I fixed up for my Father back in the summer. Dad was happy with the sound of it, but I wasn't, so I got him a decent CD player and burned him the some CDs. By that time I was already hooked, so I made some CDs for the changer in my SUV and then loaded my MP3 player with nothing but Steely Dan. I use one of those 808 Canz speakers with it. Those things sound really good to be so compact.

Huge Steely Dan fan too. Donald Fagen's solo albums are excellent as well, sans Sunken Condo's. A good tune or two on it, but poorly recorded which is extremely odd for them. Anyway, besides the original LP's (ABC much better quality than MCA if you can find them) I had the original CD's up until the early 2010's when I decided to take the plunge into the remasters. What a difference they make compared to the early CD's! Well worth seeking out if you haven't al...

And not sure why, but Fagen's Nightfly hasn't gotten the remastered treatment on regular CD yet. Great album, but it's time for an update as it's always sounded a little thin. Not true of the LP or the DVD-Audio though thankfully. Kamakiriad is another that gets a lot of play here. Phenomenal recording and tunes!
