  1. This is very interesting! Is this just on the amiga 500 @Daedalus2097? I have messed with a few a1200 and a4000 and I have seen this missing pin. On the contrary I have seen the missing pin + cover on the cable header on IDE interfaces (on different position of course).
  2. Unfortunately the only way I can think of is to desolder the header and solder a new one.
  3. Welcome to the club! Hopefully you also got the updated TOS ROMs so that you can boot your new IDE interface?
  4. Yeah, ok you are right... What I was referring to more accurately is an Acorn RISC PC... Something like an ARM710 based... With an Aleph 486 PC card please? ?
  5. I know it is a long shot, but I am looking to purchase a Risc PC. I am open in terms of the configuration but it has to be in working condition. Let me know if you have one for sale. Thanks!
  6. Actually these are great replacements! I have used a mean well psu on one of my mega st's. But requires a bit more work if I remember correctly because one needs to desolder the cables and header that goes to the motherboard and connect them to the right outputs of the mean well. Again, not a ticket science but one needs to be careful. The keyboard is not a big deal to me unless it is qwertz or even worse azerty (not the case for a UK st).
  7. Best Electronics should have new ones or someone here might be willing to sell you their power supply. The converter is cheap and handy but clunky. Also if you go that way make sure you never forget to use it with your ST. Put a sticker maybe at the back of your computer.
  8. Yes. Simple to someone who knows how to handle a power supply. It is not rocket science but some of the capacitors have the potential to give a pretty strong electric shock even if it is not plugged in to mains.
  9. Don't even think plugging your ST with this adapter! You need a step up voltage converter like this, and still make sure you connect the 220V output to your ST: Step Up and Down Converter - 500 Watt Voltage Converter Transformer w/ USB Charging Port, UK Power Adapter, AC 110 / 120 to 220 / 240 Volt Vice Versa, 110V/120V/220V/240V Input Voltage - Pyle PVTC320U https://a.co/d/8iDPPoP Better yet have someone replace the internal power supply from European (220V) to US (110V) input.
  10. I am interested in 1) but will PM for questions
  11. I purchased 3 Vectrex carts from LIME LYSTA and all went great. Items as described, great packaging and fast shipping. Thank you very much!
  12. those far from the west coast let me remind you there is always the option of USPS Retail Ground (make sure you select it, default is Priority). That way it will take s bit longer for the package to arrive but it should be about $20-25 cheaper (but if course check through ebay before you bid).
  13. On top of that I had declared interest, which in my opinion gives me dibs on the transaction. When I decided not to proceed I wanted others to know that I am out of the way... either way, I will quote Forest Gump's mum: "stupid is as stupid does". ?
  14. Withdrawing interest as seller only accepts PayPal f&f and cannot do a PayPal business transaction.
  15. Hmmm.... Not sure but if anyone here wants to bid send me a PM and we can decide how to call it... if you know what I mean... ?
  16. Yep... unfortunately this is becoming ridiculous... If I am not mistaken there was a price hike 2-3 months before Xmas and another one a month or so ago... Both were like 10-15% up for USPS. And if I remember correctly I think Fedex raised its prices like 30%... Or at least eBay offers the same Fedex services much higher now than before... Well.. At least the west coast shipping is around $25 which is almost ok... Let's see next year... ?
  17. Guys, I am in the west coast, so if you are on the east cost, yes, you will pay a premium for shipping... When I created the listing on eBay I set the package weight 5lbs (about 2-3 lbs for the case + 2-3 for packaging) and dimensions 24'x20'x8'. Then I looked at all the options and USPS Retail Ground was giving me the cheapest range (depending on the distance) and then I added Priority Mail as an option if someone wants to get it faster. UPS and FedEx had very similar ranges, maybe one was a couple of bucks cheaper on the closer distances but then it was more expensive on the further ones... And FedEx is in my black list because of too many f@(k ups last year... If anyone can find a cheapest option let me know and I will try to work things with you... But keep in mind that shipping has gone way up this year... I don't enjoy seeing people paying for shipping, I am many times on the receiving end... After all higher shipping costs mean less room for bidding...
  18. I had created this thread here in AA when I had found in the wild an Atari 5200 carry case. I am (like most of us) at the point that I need to save some space and raise some funds at the same time, so I decided to put it up for auction on eBay. In case (pun intended) you are interested: https://www.ebay.com/itm/203872540234 Thank you!
  19. Sorry, I should have marked this as found... Thank you for your contact.
  20. But to add, the modification is relatively easy, you need basic soldering skills and to know what you are doing, have done it to a few of my STs.
  21. The most important thing about converting the output of an st is to see if you actually have a composite signal in your monitor out. Usually if you don't have M in your ST model (like STFM) you don't have a modulator on your board and hence the circuit that produces composite is not populated. If you don't have a composite signal, I doubt any of these devices will work.
  22. The setup also works great for FreeMint and Geneva. So with FreeMint you can have your bash terminal on your atari ? Although I think with 4gb might be challenging... Anyway, loads of things to play with when you get your adapter and vga going... Have fun.
  23. You can always use an auto switch. Mine costed like $15 from ebay. You can add priority to the converted Atari signal (so that when you boot you always see the boot screen) and then you can change to the isa2vme card. But my advise is first make sure you make it work without the switch. When all works then you can take the next step.
