@Zohaibk created this thread selling "refurbished backwards compatible PS3 with one month warranty". Getting the console to ship took him a while but eventually I got it. It worked for exactly 2 weeks and then I got the red light of death. I contacted him and very politely he offer to send me a new one with a return label in the box. Again with quite a bit of delay (about 10 days) he sent me a tracking number that since 5 days ago from the moment I write this has stayed in "pre-shipment USPS waiting item" for the PS3 that he was supposed to have handed over to the carrier two days back. He never replied to any of my messages since then. I created a case with PayPal and waiting to get my money back. 😡

I purchased one ps3, received it with delays (that is delay in shipping out, not delay from the carier), it played well for 2 weeks then the ps3 broke down. The seller said it was well within the warranty that was giving (30 days) and said they were going to ship another. Provided a tracking number after some more delays and that tracking number stayed for several days (and still is until the day I am writing this feedback) in pre-shipping USPS awaiting item. Thre seller hasn't replied to my messages for a week now. I opened a case with PayPal to get my money back but wanted others to know also. Really bad experience!

Just for the record, I purchased one ps3, received it with delays (that is delay in shipping out, not delay from the carier), it played well for 2 weeks then the ps3 broke down. The seller said it was well within the warranty that was giving (30 days) and said they were going to ship another. Will add this to the "bad trader" and "feedback" section of this forum too. -
Looking for one and based in US. Getting one from Europe seems not possible with current the restrictions and delays in post offices. Please let me know if you have one you can part with. Thanks!

Mattsoft is an awesome person who does awesome deals and is very helpful even after the sale! If I didn't have one of these great machines already I would have purchased this lot in a heartbeat!

SCSII2SD with ICD host adapter
larrylaffer replied to larrylaffer's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Honestly, all this seems identical to the issues I had: the SCSI2SD would sometimes get formatted successfully, sometimes I could write files, sometimes I could read, but many times I couldn't. From my experience when trying to put together older and newer technology, newer technology is more picky with power supplies and with our 30+ year old PSUs ripple and other noise can escape into the +5V rails. All these issues magically solved for me as soon as I changed my power supply... There is always the option to get in touch with the developer of the board. He has been very helpful and he will guide you on how to get logs from the SCSI2SD. -
Purchased a gamecube from me. Prompt payment friendly chat, all great. Thank you!

Hello again Looking for a dust cover that will fit an ST(e/f/m) or Falcon. Any spare ones out there? Thanks!

Yep, the order is in already. I preferred Carnivore2 as it has more features and is slightly cheaper but it seems like it will take long before they have new stock, it seems like they are just sending out the last pre order. There is also someone from Brazil on Ebay selling a similar cart but without SCC mapper, so I guess MegaFlashROM SCC+ SD is better option. By the way, I ordered the 1 SD card option, is there a good reason to get the 2 SD card version other than pure greed?

Thank you @eightbit, Yes, I am sure many people were *this* close, just like you 🙂 I was also *this* close to let it go, but then I remembered that "in life you must say once in a while 'what the heck!'", and I pulled thre trigger 😀 thank you for your good words. I already contacted 8bits4ever.net just to hear that I need to subscribe to the newsletter for when they will start taking preorders again 😪

I am expecting a nice MSX to arrive and I wanted to check if anyone here wants to sell their MSX SD multicart... I am more interested in a Carnivore2 but open to other options. Thanks!

Yep! Sierra is Sierra! I did get a kick! Almost a fit 😃 And yes, I think we all do this: mixing things up a bit... I try to keep things pure too, but yeah... There is always "that one and only one occasion that..." 🙂

Still, that picture was awesome to look at... It mesmerized me... I just happened to have played these games on PC (and also something is telling me that you were not going to let them go, you were just teasing us 😃 - Just admit it!)

Yeah, that sucks, I feel for you! I hope the Gaming Gods will do something about this unfair situation we ended up in... And I am not even asking how your boxes got tossed... 😃

Interestingly this is "the gizmo that never worked for me" 😀 -
Modern Displays - Will this thing work?
larrylaffer replied to gobo's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
First of all you need an ST to VGA cable. Then a monitor like @anzac described that can receive 15kHz vertical sync. Alternatively you need something like a scan doubler which will take your 15kHz signal from the ST and make it 30kHz. Then you can connect your ST (or any other retro computer with thre right cable) to any size monitor pretty much (and some people will argue why doing that 😀). Another option is ti get an ST to SCART and do something similar. Be aware that the ST series has color and monochrome modes, so your cables need to be chosen accordingly. Finally there are other gizmos that claim to work for all modes/ resolutions but personally I didn't have much luck with these... -

Very clear and accurate post. Extremely nice to deal with and genuinely looking to help. Shipped really fast and packaged great! Thank you!

One clarification for your poll: Should only people who own an Atari cassette recorder participate? Because as is, if someone doesn't own one and someone who owns one but they don't plan to repair it would vote "No". Is that what you want? If not you might add "I don't own a cassette recorder" option. Just a thought...
