Sorry Bobby, i saw your post just now... Unfortunately the games I am looking for are older, and I am looking specifically for Sierra Online titles. Sierra online is a company that in the 80s/90s was making adventure games like the titles I have listed above... thanks for posting though!

Converting a French stf keyboard
larrylaffer replied to larrylaffer's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
A few weeks (maybe months) ago I had asked questions about TOS versions and where to find it. You (of course) gave a few good pointers, and someone living really close offered to burn some eeproms for a very small fee, so I got a couple of extra US TOS roms just in case. So yeah, I already changed the TOS to a US one, that is why I don't complain about French menu or characters in thre screen. 🙂 Moving the keys around does work (kind of) but gives a very ugly feeling typing as they all have a specific angle based on where they sit on the keyboard. As an example AZERTY has W at the bottom row, so moving out at the top is ugly... also the numbers and the characters are totally off. Then other characters out pair of characters are off... I can live with that for a while as you also said, but I want a more elegant solution... I am attaching the keyboard as it looks right now so that people can really see what I mean by "ugly" although in the picture it is not that obvious than it is in touch... just see the height of Q, W, E and R. They are totally uneven... -
Bump. Got a couple but definitely still looking.

Hi folks! I got an AZERTY ST(f) and I am trying to figure out how to convert it the US standards... Obviously I need a 110V PSU but this post specific to the keyboard... The obvious answer is to find a US (or even UK) ST (any model really other than the Mega as the Megas I believe have different plungers?) and swap the keys or even better the whole keyboard (the keyboard swap is better since AZERTY has the > and < symbols right next to the left SHIFT which is reduced in size). But this can get expensive. Getting the keys from ebay I think is a daylight robbery, they are sold pretty expensive, especially for the number of keys I am looking to swap out (I think it might be cheaper to just get another computer for parts ;-)). But what about stickers? I have found stickers for the 8 bit ataris... (here) But not for ST... Does anybody have done anything like what I am trying to do? I bet someone has... Any thoughts would be awesome!

Interested mostly in the old titles... police quest, Larry, Manhunter etc... PC only please. PM me if you want to part with any of the above for a non eBay price 🙂 Thanks

Thank you @oakcitycomics I updated the title.

Thanks a lot for the offer but I also have an FZ-1... I thought the cartridge would be universal, isn't it? If not I'd better update this post...

286 emulator for the falcon?
larrylaffer replied to larrylaffer's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Thank you all for the input and for sharing thoughts and/or memories. This is all part of enjoying collecting and using our beloved Atari (and maybe other computers and gaming consoles from the previous century), and also the fun being in such a lovely forum as the AtariAge! -
286 emulator for the falcon?

Oh, and also for completion, I had captured a picture of the messed up screen that I thought I had uploaded but apparently not. So here it is. -
286 emulator for the falcon?
larrylaffer replied to larrylaffer's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
You are right! Moments like this need to be captured! So here it is: - Falcon Speed running - Booting into DOS 6.20 - Slash screen of win 3.1 (not sure why black and white...) - Win 3.1 running - Win 3.1 screen saver kicking in! My wife is so proud of me right now! 😎 -
286 emulator for the falcon?
larrylaffer replied to larrylaffer's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
I cracked it... 🙂 Windows was using falcxvga.drv driver (set in system.ini) and as soon as I changed it to falc_vga.drv and added that driver from the zip in c:\windows\system it all starts up nice and crisp! Maybe the falcxvga.drv was corrupted. It got too late last night after I figured things out and I just declared victory and stopped... As for the monitor, I have a modern LCD but I get the vga signal from the Atari falcon->vga adapter, feed it to a scan doubler/scaler and then into the monitor. Works great with all my retro computers. -
286 emulator for the falcon?
larrylaffer replied to larrylaffer's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Yes! Thank you. I did manage to identify this card and in fact the software needed (other than DOS or Win) has been discussed previously here: http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=29235 The version of the files I have seems to have an issue with VGA, it starts windows 3.1 but the screen is distorted. I can barely see the windows and the icons... I will replace with the files in the link above and try again... -
Hi experts! Can someone tell ne what this card is? I guess since it has an Intel 286 processor it is a 286 emulator for the falcon? Thanks

Does anybody have a recommendation for repair service for a turbografx CD? Thanks!

Yeah, sorry, I do realize now that my original post was ambiguous at best... I am after a Spectrum. I updated the original post now. Which do you have?

Hello, Does anybody have a Sinclair Spectrum ZX computer and willing to sell it? If so please let me know. I am also open to trades, I have quite a bit of Atari, Commodore and Amiga stuff to trade you for. Thanks!

I am not at home, but when I get back I will take those measurements and let you know. Are you thinking of yet another use of it other than storing STs or 21 inch monitors?
-
Thank you Lynxpro, this is very interesting information because, of course I opened it when I bought it and it was cut In fact I purchased it together with a 1040STF and now it makes all the sense in the world. I thought it was something that the original owner did but based on what you say this "mod" was more widespread than what I initially thought... I am really happy, learning all these anecdotes (especially for someone like me who started with an Atari back in the 80s but in Europe) is part of the pleasure of hunting and collecting... Out of curiosity, do you remember who was that Atari dealer?

Please let me know if you have one.

Hi all. The is a seller on Ebay named erosmarketing that sell constantly sealed copies of Eat'em Beat'em and Custer's Revenge. Do you know their background? Are they legit? I have been observing this for about 2 years and they have soled quite a few copies... are these originals or repros? When I asked them they said "originals". And we all know that nobody lies on Ebay, right? Thanks!

Thank you, I will look it up!
