  1. Hit the flea market yesterday got great deal on a. 7800 with some 2600 carts and what should have been an amazing Box of Genesis games (grind stormer, beyond oasis, and more) but they're all dead, no damaged traces or corrosion, just dead carts really odd, oh well that's the way the cookie crumbles

      Nice finds! I got lucky as well, a Parker Bros. Merlin CIB with everything right down to the registration papers, at a local antiques mall. The thing works too, batteries or AC.

      You likely sanded off the protection layer on the contacts. They work now but once it oxidizes again it will be tougher to revive. There is something called Caig Deoxit D5 you can use to remove the oxidation from any contacts. It may take 5 rounds to fully wash away the oxidation, i spray, let sit a few minutes, spray again...finally wipe with q-tip, but it works well without compromising the contacts.

      the layer is fine, I used polishing paper... it works great. I already used contact cleaner and de-oxit.

      It's been 3 years on the polish batch and all still work.
