  1. Why do electric car owners always tell me that I'm wrong for wanting faster charging times and better range before I would buy an electric car? Shouldn't they want those 2 things to happen as well?

@MattelAquarius: No logic, just a reaction to yours -- electric vehicles are taking over the industry "right now" LOL!

Oh, I see. You are confused by what the words "industry" and "starting" mean. LOL! ;-)

And the RF box for the Jaguar is exceptionally poor. Even going to AV composite is a big step up, and then S-Video is another notch higher. I have an S-video cable, but unfortunately my latest TV doesn't support S-video...

    3. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

You can generally get a convertor to go S-Video to VGA...YMMV, But I've had some good luck!

      Dreamcast Gamer

New TVs have dropped S-video before RCA, even though S-video is newer. It's probably because it's less popular.

  3. I really like bombjack, kind of annoying that the only console port until the ps2 was the sg 1000 port,

also bombjack 2 seems to just be a reskin of an intended thundercats game, or more accurately retitle, the player is clearly lionel and the music is untouched

The movie had its US premiere on May 25, 1977. I'm not sure if it was known to be a smash hit on beforehand, or if RCA were very quick to act once the movie had been received.

    3. Blazing Lazers

      Blazing Lazers

What is certain is that it was sold across the world on the S3 clones, and those games and systems were licensed from RCA.

    4. TheTIGuy

      TheTIGuy

Yeah, but the RCA CMR 350 camcorder makes up for the studio's horribleness.

      jaybird3rd

^ I was about to say, if you need 2600 Frogger, don't buy one; just tear the label off of another Parker Brothers cartridge, and it will magically transform itself into Frogger. Problem solved!

    4. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

Haha! Earlier I was actually gonna say if ya have an unlabeled Parker Bros cart it probably Is Frogger...

  9. Sealed Collectors would a partial tear at the top of the package deter you from wanting a game? I have a sealed mean 18 with a small tear for 7800 and I'd like to have a complete copy of mean 18 for myslef but if it sealed collector would want it I'd rather get it to someone that wants sealed copy I'd rather sell or trade it to them instead of opening it

It's when you try to look past a flaw, or ignore it, or blow it off like it's no big deal that people get annoyed. If you are entirely honest, it generally works in your favor.

    3. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

Also I'm talking in a general sense, I haven't looked up that game specifically. For me it depends on the game. For example if Midnight Magic was worth hundreds, I'd still rather play it than sell it...

    4. masschamber

      masschamber

Well my intention would to buy a cart only or cib mean 18 if I sold the sealed one

Hit the flea market yesterday got great deal on a. 7800 with some 2600 carts and what should have been an amazing Box of Genesis games (grind stormer, beyond oasis, and more) but they're all dead, no damaged traces or corrosion, just dead carts really odd, oh well that's the way the cookie crumbles

    1. Show previous comments  7 more

well that might explain the high price on working carts of grindstormer

    3. _The Doctor__

      _The Doctor__

nah easy fix, tengen made the traces too thin, just run jumper wires to the fingers from the chip or transplant the chip from the later tengen pcb to and earlier one before they cheaped out, or choose from a compatible pcb an move the chip there. No reason to throw them out or drive up the price on them, just fix them. This is super common... hmmm youtube plz

    4. masschamber

      masschamber

well, I should definitely fix grindstormer

    4. masschamber

possibly, but given the crazy failure of them it probably didn't matter. The worst thing is, the pv1000 is fairly unique hardware, the pv2000 is another colecovision/msx/sg1000

  25. trying to decide which pre nes console I think is best the 2600 or the intellivision, 2600 has a fuller library and better easier to deal with controllers, the intellivision has better exclusives and more feature rich controls
