  1. I never had any intention of collecting TI-99 stuff but somehow I have amassed quite a large accidental collection. I made this list for one person in particular so they get first shot but as soon as they get back to me the rest will be available. Some of the carts I have in quantity.

  2. In Portland: http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/tag/305809410.html

These are 2 non-operational stand-up arcade games I scored from an auction, thinking I could revive them. However, a few months later they remain untouched, and it's Springtime and I need the space in my garage.

One is Space Invaders (Midway, 1978) and the other is Asteroids (Atari, 1979).

    [...]

$25 each or $45 for both, cash only; you-haul as I don't have a truck.

    They aren't mine.

Thanks or the tip. I emailed him but I'm sure they're gone already. Do you live near Portland?

  3. Thanks man. I only collect Atari 2600 NTSC protos so that why I did not bid on the 5200 stuff...... ;)

I lost out on the 5200 game anyway. I can't believe it sold for more than Donald Duck. How many of those are out there? I thought unreleased Atari 2600 protos sold for much more than $200. Didn't that kind of thing sell for $500-$1000 a few years ago? I put what I thought was a really low bid and I was the second highest bidder. I'm guessing your max was much higher than what it sold for though so I probably never had a chance.

  4. Yes the top looks to be cut off and placed on the bottom of the unit. And then the roller thing is gone that was in the middle. I bet they replaced tv set inside with a home television since it looks a little bigger. It looks nice what you won. And you got a great price with those game. Be careful when moving if it has been moded the TV could fall or move. This is mine and its so big I had a hard time fitting it in the door.

Hi Jason! When did you get yours and where was it located?

  5. I had a dream about these last night and it's my birthday today so no one else should bid on these, ok. Mostly I just want Sport Goofy though. My pockets aren't that deep right now so I'm sure I won't win anything. By the way, how did these manage to not get pulled by Ebay?

  6. I'm the winner, but I did not know it was modified. Still, the games included (and I'll let you know if it is the 5200 millipede or not) would seem to make this a good deal. Are there any photos of what an original looks like, and how was this modded?

Also, anyone who has trailer space of leads on trailer space from Wichita to Dayton in the next 2 weeks could also stand to take some more money from me. Right now my best bid is $178. I posted on uship.com and said the first $100 bid will get it.

    -Steve

The one I almost bid on a few years ago had a cylinder in the front that you rotated with instructions or descriptions of the games. I think you got a good deal and I'm interested to see what's up with Millipede.

  8. Thanks for the info. is there any possibility I'm doing something wrong? Do these go bad often?

    y-bot

There's only two CD4016 analog switch chips in a masterplay. Just cut

the chip pins, remove each pin and clean the holes with solder wick, then

solder in two new 4016 (or 4066) chips.

  9. Just got these in today at my work. Both are non-working and we're asking $100 each.

Bally Midway ARCH RIVALS in Berzerk cabinet-the neck of the picture tube is broken, the other components are in unknown condition. Has paperwork for Hometown Heroes kit so it may be installed. More info about the game here:

Nihon Bussan/AV Japan SLY SPY in Defender cabinet-screen flashes on for a second and then goes blank. Defender side art is visible under the black paint. The cabinet is pretty solid and includes the original back door. More info about the game here:

  10. I just got one of these today and I can't get it to work. The 5200 controller works when hooked up to it and switching the analog controller on/off switch works. A working 2600 controller does nothing. I don't have the instructions, is there something I'm missing? If it is broken can it be fixed? I was pretty excited to finally get one of these and now I'm bummed out.

  12. What year are those from? I have a copy from 1987 I think and it's different from the one I played in grade school (early 80's).

I noticed a couple of people asking for these in other posts, so I went rummaging through my collection. I have five "kosher" copies of MECC's The Oregon Trail for the Apple II. Originally these were owned by Humble and Kingwood, Texas, area schools. Strictly speaking, they are for school use only, but I'm pretty sure old school disks are below the radar of the Software Secret Police.

Anyway, if anyone wants one, let me know. I'll let them go for cheap, or I'll trade for items on my want list.

I also have other MECC titles from that era, including disks from the popular "Munchers" series. If you're looking for anything, drop me a line.
