To replace my broken diskdrive inside my philips vg8234 msx2,i bought a usb floppydisk emulator. It can be jumpers as a 720kb 3.5" disk drive. It can also be jumpert as 1.44mb 3.5" , 1.2mb 5 1/4" and 720kb 5 1/4". I now need to make a cable to use it inside the msx2, since that uses a 14 wire cable instead of a 34 one. When it's finished i will post my findings here. .

Great video as usual. But for those who want to watch the video, make sure you're wife isn't watching. Otherwise collecting will never be the same again. -
Are FB Groups Taking Traffic Away From WWW Forums?
Seob replied to VectorGamer's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Not for me. Can't see why facebook would be great to use instead of a forum. Even AA is easy to read on a smartphone. -
That's a huge expansion case.

Sound blaster doesn't need drivers. You just need to set the blaster in autoexec.bat like set blaster=a... i. d. On the dots you fill in the adres set by jumpers on board, the irq and dma. For setting the jumpers you can look here http://pbclub.pwcsite.com/PBInfo/Jumpers/Sound%20Card%20Jumpers/Creative%20Labs/CREATIVE-LABS-INC-Sound-card-SOUNDBLASTER-2-0-CT13.html For the mouse, i think you can use any dos mouse driver. Put it in the autoexec.bat and you're set.

A game-selector-box for John Dondzilla's Odyssey 2 multicart
Seob replied to Rolo's topic in Odyssey 2 / Videopac
Just for the record for those not familiar with the odyssey 2 multicards. John's cart uses dipswitches, the menu driven multicard is made by a different person named Rene_g7400. Cannot see it in the picture, but are there small knobs above and below the number selector to select the game? -
If it uses a 100hz refresh rate i think you're in trouble. I have a 100 hz flatscreen crt loewe and i cannot use my playstation lightguns (namco) on it. I need to use a 50hz tv.

I love Asphalt on the N-gage, plays pretty good. Sealed games are not hard to come by. Guess they had a very big stock of games that just didn't sell back in the days.

Love Asphalt on the n-gage. It's a very good racing game for the n-gage. Also love asphalt 8 on the ipad. Took a little to get used to the controles but after getting used to it it's a really good game.

Mem test shows only 1 mb. The ultrinit tool shows ultrasound with ics. will look if i have other mem chips. I know it isn't a original gus hence the title.

Looks like i solve the problem with the card not running. Took an other PC with 95, and had the same problem running the Gravis. I then delete the drive, installed dos 6.22, ran the setup and now it works.

This Saturday i had a decent haul at the thrift shop. Found a very dirty Nes, with 2 controllers. Hatch and power supply missing. Came with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game. Together with 2 Gus compatible 16 bit isa sound cards. Total 10 euro. I just can't find the manufacturer of the sound card. One of the 2 cards comes with a Promise 27256 bios chip installed. The other card lacks this rom. I guess this is only for the onboard ide controller. If i'm correct both cards are fitted with 1 Mb ram IC's, U1 and U2 are the fixed 512Kb ram and U3 and U4 seem to be the extra 512 Kb memory banks. The main sound IC's are the Gravis GF1 and the Advanced Gravis GF1D1. So i think it's a Ultrasound Classic. On the backside of the board, etched into it it says 'Ultrapromise-2' searching for this, only leads to Promise Ultra-66 ide controllers. Searching for Promise Technology on the Bios chip also leads to IDE controllers only. On the front the board says 'Amigo', but searching for this leads me to Turtle Beach USB sound cards. Searching for 'UT-8D 94V-0' leads to pci ethernet cards. There are no FCC codes on the board so i cannot search for this. It's not a original card, since they are red. Tried searching on Vogons but it's not listed there. Yesterday i tried to install the card, but my Fujitsu Ergopro e452 doesn't free my DMA channels, so i couldn't get it running. Had the same problem with a Creative isa sound card so i think the problem isn't the sound card. So anyone who knows this card?

Got a boxed Model 1 Sega CD, works only when I hit it
Seob replied to Zap!'s topic in Classic Console Discussion
Take a look here http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthread.php?22027-Sega-CD-systems-repair-thread Scroll down to CD1 tray goes in and comes out right away? -
Yes, Rene is making flashcarts for the system. He also made a menu driven multicart. Really love that cart. There is an other guy that showed a flash cart with voice built in. Hope he gets it ready for production love to own one. Also check out the games released by revival studios,he can really pull of some great stuff on the system, no one would think was possible.
