Hi ProWizard, Thanks so much for replying! So, just so I understand, the only reason for me to get a SIO2SD would be if I want to run multi-disk games like Ultima for instance? It sounds like the MyIDE ][ is my best bet then. Question: Does MyIDE ][ use .atr files? Can it handle BASIC programs? Some of my favorite games were the ones that came with ANTIC magazine. As far as games, some of my favorites are Blue Max One on One Star League Baseball MULE Food Fight It's a short list, I know! I'm looking forward to discovering many more games that I never got a chance to play, like Rescue on Fractalus, and Bruce Lee, as well as the rest of the XE arcade ports I never got a chance to play.

I've recently dug my 1200XL out of my parents' basement and, after fixing the infamous keyboard problem, am eager to start gaming again. There seem to be a lot of multicart/SIO2SD options out there. What I'd like to do is have a self-contained device (no SIO2PC) that I can store a maximum of about 50 games on and is easy to use. I know there's nothing as simple as a Harmony cart for the A8, but the closer to that the better. Any suggestions?

A little bird told me last night that the design is completed, just need a final PCB design. No word on a time yet. I have an 800 waiting patiently. That's great! I'm hoping I can give some enterprising soul some cash to do the mod, as I have no skills with a soldering iron.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned before--I searched the forum and couldn't find it. Is there any reason why King's Quest wasn't ported to A8s? Was it just because of its late release in the A8 lifecycle?

The subject basically says it all. Would it be possible to do a static-graphical text adventure game like Shadowgate? Obviously the graphics couldn't be as nice as the ST version, but other than that...?

Blue Max is a must play. I remember when I first discovered how to get to the city. I had so much fun flying low and hitting the cars and rows of tanks!

Ulsan's a mixed bag. If you live outside of the industrial areas, the urban sprawl is all less than 10 years old, so it's pretty nice and modern. If you live close to the shipyard (the biggest in the world) or any of the refineries, it's as polluted as Pittsburg in the 70's. I'm teaching English here now, actually. It's a pretty sweet gig as long as you don't mind adjusting to a new culture. Of course, if you live in Seoul you don't even have to do that

Noo...I got that (otherwise, I'd be raising hell that the TS-1000 was ranked slightly better than the 400...which it obviously isn't). To say nothing of the ones at the end. What I mean is that the C64 shouldn't be on a "10 worst keyboard" list at any spot. What would you replace it with?
