So there is no Mac-based solution?

Please excuse my ignorance--I'm really new to doing anything else than playing games on my 1200XL. So this flash cart thing--it intrigues me. I don't have the space to run a PC alongside my A8, so the SIO2PC option is out for me. Now, I have a ton of atr images on my ibook. Is there a way I can transfer them to a multicart, plug that into my A8, and fire away? Or is it more complicated than that...

A little off topic, but is there any way to "fix" the cartridge slot so it doesn't take the strength of ten to pull a cart out? Is this a common problem or is my machine just a fluke?
