  1. I know the focus has been on 2d/2.5d type gaming. Can the Amico do a 3D driving type game? No I'm not talking Gran Turismo. But a Mario Kart type game. Or any one of a number of arcade type racers. San Francisco Rush. Sega Rally. I could see STUN RUNNER as well. Would it be possible down the road? PS-I would love to see an Amico-fied version of LTWOM.
  2. Congrats!!!! Today 1500.... Soon, you will look PewDiePie in the rear view mirror. Don't forget us little people.
  3. Th0/2710/27 I wonder what kind of Tricks or Treats we'll get when we fire up our Amico's for next year's Halloween.
  4. I love this idea.. IF you can solve the age old issue of these types of cards: The dreaded curve...
  5. While on the subject of late 70s/early 80's movies - I wold love to see an Every Which way But Loose and Any which Way You Can set of games. I can picture - Philo getting away from a Biker gang.. Having to fight in parking lots to get money. Searching for a certain person. Side quests involving Clyde. Country Music. I'm about 30% serious on this.. After thinking about it while typing this out, It would be a fun adventure/beat-em up. Of course you could get a number of Clint Eastwood games from movies, with a partnership.. I'll let you use your imagination for the others.
  6. I remember this remake! I think that same guy did a Star Wars and Empire Strikes back Arcade remake. I remember them being slow like that. No matter what hardware it was on.
  7. I finally got to listen to all 3 hours and one of the questions I had about physical media was semi-answered here. The question was going to be: What happens when the servers go down and we are on Amico 3? How can I get use my physical media if its all RFID? "We have you covered" is all that I needed. Amazing interview. Loved all the movie goodness. When I showed my daughter the Wonka portion.. She freaked out. Especially the Inventing Room key. Plus Video Games Live starting back up where I live.. Woo hoo!!!!
  8. Tommy's collection of retro stuff. I kept looking in the background for hints... I was telling my daughter while watching the video - Hey was that Stunt cycle?!?! I loved those controls. Then Tommy came around and made the off handed comment about Wouldn't it be cool to control the Evel Knievel cycle with something like this. Fingers crossed for an ultra special edition of the game with the handlebar controller. on the subject of background hints - Tron.. Tron.. Tron... Tron... Star Wars arcade cabinet... Now that would be a nice retro remake with an AMAZING controller.
  9. Is it just me or did the back of the Amico change? The USBc port seems to now be able to move data now. I recall that Tommy said it was power only for a long time. There were two USB3 ports as well. The delay may have at least brought us more capable expansion. No arguments here! My previous posting of the videos didn't seem to stick. Odd. But not going to complain. More articulate people than I have given there thoughts. To some up - So far, I like what I see. A good portion of the games will end up on my Amico. Even the games that I'm not so sure of, I think that Tommy and company will be able to pull out the right mix of gameplay and graphics in the end. Currently no small children in the household, so the educational stuff isn't for us, but for the extended family.. i could see it. I think you have the name already for the app. Our Celebrations. My Celebrations. or just plain Celebrations. As long as "Talk like a Pirate day" gets some fun interactivity. I wonder if you can make the Amico smell like Pancakes for "National Pancake day"? "Floppy disk day" is on the 20th. The startup noise alone would be amazing. Watch a video to one of those people who program diskette drives to make music. That will get you. If you haven't seen any, search imperial march floppy drive on youtube. I could go on. With all the individual fun days that there are, I'm sure the whole company could help in the design process for those days. I can think of at least one or two in the forum here that would be right up their ally as far as graphics design go. I'm also sure a good portion of us would love to help out in some way with them. I can see the Amico end up with a different start up screen every day of the year. Some days. Multiple.
  10. Along with the new Demo.. Can we have some last minute predictions on some of the games shown? Are we going to get a bit more Earthworm Jim? Are we going to see Warlords? More Bomb Squad? Demon Attack? Adventure?
  11. I know it will be breakout.. But I can hope for Tempest... Considering it hasn't even been started yet.. I know it MAY be a long shot.
  12. I actually said it exactly like that as I wrote it down. I haven't been able to do the lightning for a while. But on a real dry day, when I rub my socks on the carpet.... I may not post much.. But I do read almost everything. What a great dysfunctional family we have! All good families have a few of those wacky cousins that just make you scratch your head. I won't name names, but we do certainly have a few of those . You all make me laugh.
  13. I love the little Bold nugget above. I wonder what cool peripherals are being worked on? I know about the specialized buttons that can be connected screen. Tommy mentioned those a few hundred pages back. But what else?!?!? I mentioned the headgear attachment that you can put the two controllers in front of your face for AmicoVR (VRAmico?)tm A 32x like attachment that will give the Amico Unlimited Power. Connect a few together to make a Mega Zord Amico? The Amico Super Game Module (Remember Colecovision?). We can call that the Super Amico Module... SAM for short. I'll stop there...
  14. I dusted off my Wii a few weeks ago and did a quick mod. Installed a a few games that I wanted to play. The one's that I ended up playing the most were: Dragon's Lair Trilogy. So fun. I know the size is prohibitive, for a standard game, but I could see a special edition with a USB drive attached to a mini Arcade cabinet. Giving you the option to install on your system. It's something that I'd love to see on the Amico. If the first one is successful, I can see you doing Space Ace and others. Another game I'd love to see a new version of is Return Fire. I think it may have been brought up before. But I wanted to throw it back out. Here is a review of all 2(almost 3) versions that came to consoles: While this may be a bit too adult for the Amico, I'm sure it could be toned down and still kick in the fun. Add more vehicles. This would be a fun multiplayer game.
  15. Here is the icon for the Microzilla Firebox: For the Series Z: * My slight hint to have an Ultraman (Any of the 40 or so Ultra's) game for the Amico. Maybe have an Ultraman Edition for the Japanese Market.
  16. I had that car. Kept the box.. I completely forgot about it until I saw the pic above. I can actually feel it in my hand as I type this. The grooves on the plastic intake. I think I may still have it in a case stashed away someplace. I may have to try and locate.
  17. My brother had a Gremlin.. Tan with a light blue interior. I don't remember it having 6 wheels.. Although his was an X, have to say, don't remember the V-16 engine either. I'm old.. But you would think I'd remember those little details. According to some people I'm the perfect demo for the Amico.
  18. I was going to congratulate you on the now "award winning" Amico, and realize that I didn't hit Submit yet on this topic.. Congrats!!!! Now, back to the post: These are not really questions, I'd like for the video to touch on some of the below items: Of course go through the history of the design of the controller. The benefits of going capacitive touch vs resistive. I know most of us know. But I'm assuming that this will also be for people that have not followed the product like us. Maybe talk about the choice of moving the buttons from their original locations on the controller like the early mock ups had. If there happens to be that one controller design that just made you laugh.. There always seems to be one design that, looking back is a head scratcher. Show the controller in action. Show the overlays on the screen. (OR whatever they will be called). Videolays? V-Lays ? Show why you chose this design vs a standard controller we've been using for 20+ years. Give the specs. This many pieces go into the controller. This is not just plastic. A little of the other testing that has been performed. Not just your hands on approach. Show the guts.. (Just not by cooking it over a fire). I'd love to see one of those exploding view of with all the parts going into place. While all the numbers and specs are cool. We will eat all that up. Finish the video off with a segment of First time users. Something like - This is Fred. He's not a gamer. Fred does not own a game system. This is Penny. She is a mother of 2. She has a Switch. Hand them a controller. Cornhole is booted up. If possible, do not cut, just hand the controller and show how long it takes to get to the first toss. Show them going through the learning stages. Cut to them saying that it only took a minute or two to get it. Then a montage of people playing different games. Things that we've seen. Toss in one or two that we haven't just for us geeks to obsess over. All the while, you can see them enjoying themselves. At the end of the video. OR at the beginning. In big letters: THESE ARE NOT ACTORS. These are real people trying the Amico for the first time.
  19. Naughty Nobody fraks with Angry Eybrow Pete! Hmmmmm Fraks with. Battlestar Galactica. Mattel.. Space Alert. Battlestar Galactica Space Alert by Mattel. Amico. Mattel and Amico partnering on games. I want to start the rumor that Battlestar Galactica will have an exclusive game for the Amico. @Tommy Tallarico Any truth to the rumors that have been floating around here for one sentence?
