  1. I think it was the Mattel, Sesame Street, or Amazon as a retailer.
  2. I let my 20 year old daughter play the demo. She's not much of a gamer. She likes them. But not really into them. Mind you she has not ever seen the original game. She picked up the controls fairly quickly. Didn't stop playing for a good 10-15 minutes. Announced that she'd like it better with "real controls". But kept trying to get a little farther into the level. Asked to play it later on last night. I think that is a good sign! .
  3. We had set up way too many super important media folks to watch it live. So not having it in the presentation would have impacted the strength of the overall. A lot of these big national folks won't do a follow up story a week or two later. We only have their attention right now. So this was for the "greater of the good". A team of really smart PR, Marketing & Branding folks decided early this morning. I think it was the right decision given the circumstances.
  4. I do! Around an hour and 15! We filmed a ton of different stuff (not knowing what we could or couldn't announce at the time). The times varied from 45 mins - 1:30! But COVID has changed the way licensors prefer to release info. Then one of the biggest things came in last minute (first was in... then was out.. then was in again) so we decided to hold back one day to get the biggest impact for the audience we knew would be watching (i.e. retro & gamers, press/media, developers/publishers). It's pretty much the biggest thing in the entire event and I was gutted when we thought we couldn't get it in. Then, late last night we got the approval... at that point we tried to re-render the entire event then get it up on YouTube. It's a big file because it's at 60fps! (Yay for gameplay!) Unfortunately it would have been delayed by a few hours after 10am and out of respect for our European friends (which is obviously a very important territory for us and LOTS of folks registered from there)... the team decided to hold it and focus on the Moon Patrol app today. So sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone. It was a decision we didn't make lightly. But we believe it was the right one given the amount of time & energy (and major folks we had watching) for the event. CNET is streaming it live and one of the biggest newspapers in the U.S. will be doing something with us as well. Tommy, Thank you for being so Transparent. I'm sure we'll know what the big reveal will be. We'll also agree that the day wait was worth it. I'm also sure that you will be back here when you can to give us all the juicy details. This has been an amazing ride so far. And it feels like we've all been on a long road trip together. Tons of fun most of the time. But a few bad moments here and there. Then I think.. Wait. We are just at the first part of our Journey! Now let the
  5. First three seconds I saw this, I thought he planned to eat his golden ticket!! If the picture was me, my stomach would be touching the table.. Sad.. But true.. I'm not a svelte as I used to be.
  6. I can smell another test video... Dangling a tiny controller over a fire pit... BOOOOOM. Curly Q could photoshop that in 3 minutes!
  7. Love the idea!!! YES we need!!!! Building on that (Credit Intellivision Master for this) I know this may be a bit expensive. But what about a controller keychain with RFID? A small amount of storage. Touch the "controller" to the console and it fills up with previews or messages that only keychain owners get. Fun things.
  8. As long as you can still stream.. All is good.. Right? Sorry to hear about your roof. hope everyone is safe!
  9. Silly question of the day: How many people will be wearing their I'm a Shill for Tommy Amico shirt today?
  10. This way you do have a built in sequel game that does not need a "2" in it..
  11. I wanted to make one more prediction: Tommy will start the show dressed this way. To signify a few different things. First Tron... And then the family friendly Big Lebowski Bowling game. You use the 2nd controller to hold steady and keep your "milk" from spilling. Extra points for that. Or The Tron Lebowski, the bowling adventure! No other System could handle such a game. Can you imagine the background music from those games?
  12. If the "testing" videos are any indication on what is going to happen. I expect tomorrow to be a fun time!!! For some reason I'm hearing OEB Pete singing We'll all have an Amico Day in my head ALL DAY. Thank you Pete! Even the Final Countdown couldn't keep it out.
  13. Agreed! I'll take on based just on the toys.. OR one based on the comic based on the toys. OR based on this team up from the comic based on the toys... For some reason the third pic didn't load ----- FYI - They were in the MCU the whole time!
  14. Stupid things like this infect my brain all the time. I forget sometimes when I throw out odd comments out of left field like that. Not everyone remembers these silly things. HAHA. Like these "Trons".. Hope Tommy gets both "Tron" licenses... The obvious one. And The Micronauts.
  15. I don't know. Did you know there's an insurance company called Amica? It's very close to Amico except for the last letter. Lol.
  16. Literally I was almost typing the same thing! I can imagine Tommy going over the footage saying More Easter eggs!!! Must have more Easter eggs! Probably still recovering from all the testing that went on. Hopefully he has all the feeling in his appendages as he has to sign a ton of things. Anyone care to predict what the biggest surprise will be tomorrow?
  17. My guesses: 1)He's recovering from getting rescued from the forest. 2)He's practicing as he's going to jump over 35 Amicos on a bicycle dressed like Evel Knievel to start the event. 3)Now that he's conquered the Grizzly suit. He's filming a parachute jump from the edge of space. 4)Editing the Video for the presentation. It will be half of what he wanted to give so that will lead to... 5)Releasing a Tommy Tallarico cut with more Superman in his black costume games and info to this forum. Maybe HBOmax like other movies.
  18. Polygon had a pretty interesting theory: "G4 was most recently owned by Comcast subsidiary NBCUniversal. It’s possible that the network could return as part of Peacock, the streaming service that the company fully launched last week." It makes a lot of sense to try to get additional programming for their new service (however I am not picking up an additional streaming service, the fragmentation has gotten ridiculous). However, great to see them back, in whatever form. Agreed with the fragmentation.. By now, if you subscribe to a good portion of the services out there, you are close to (or more than) what you were paying when you cut the cable. AND you still don't have all of your local channels. If it were in the FREE tier of Peacock, I would be happy with that.
  19. Did I miss anyone talking about the return of G4? Looks like 2021 is already looking up! Sounds like we are getting Attack of the show! and X-Play. (At least). I even forgave the team at Attack of the show for knocking off Screen Savers. Leo, Patrick and Kate were great hosts! Maybe Tommy will be on TV on a regular basis once again.
  20. Wow.. Another fun video! Been kinda busy and couldn't really put my thoughts down. Not your average Corporate announcement. Looks like it won't be your average gaming company when it starts kicking into gear.
  21. Didn't think the pic would garner replies.. For those who don't know. That is from the movie Any Which Way You Can. And the block was real. Nothing taken out. I remember him doing an interview and someone asked Mr. Eastwood that very question. (Can't help thinking of Marty McFly when I say his name that way).
  22. Here is the same block. Same Scene. I believe the same cut. But with Ruth Gordon and Clyde for scale..
  23. Engine Block Test: Transmission Test - I'm imagining it on a 2nd page of tests
