  1. Hi All,

Any takers on this? At least on the first party carts, most Atari manuals were in full color pre crash then the rereleases in the gray boxes had black and white manuals. Then the Red Label carts either had Black and White Manuals or Red and White.

So on the Atari side which Silver Label carts don't have a color version?

you got your quadrun with it's red and black style

    http://www.atariage.com/manual_thumbs.html...wareLabelID=381

vs millipede same style but in full color

    http://www.atariage.com/manual_thumbs.html...wareLabelID=301

then there are the earlier silver manuals like centipede

    http://www.atariage.com/manual_thumbs.html...twareLabelID=71

and the poster style manuals like Dig Dug and Moon Patrol (at least my copies)

I'd also love to know if there are any late Activision manuals (other than Cosmic Commuter) that are not in color...

    Any takers?

    Thanks,

    le geek

  2. Actually the earlier Dreamcast's have a better chance of using a boot disc to play japanese and european games. Not sure about the details on that though maybe some one else can give more details.

Online DC game servers are up until the end of the year so says the sega web site ( I guess I should go ahead and play through Shenmue again before the year ends!)

I've really enjoyed the quality of most of the games for it! Many are unusual and interesting vs most of the PS2 games which are sequels to other games for the most part. I recommend Soul Calibur and Jet Grind Radio highly. I like a lot of other games as well (I have 37 at last count), but it depends on your tastes...

    Cheers,

  3. Howdy all,

I'm wondering which Telegames carts are worth getting (i.e. aren't just M Network releases).

I assume Glacier Patrol and Universal Chaos since they can't be gotten otherwise and Quest for Quintana Roo because the Sunrise version is more expensive.

    Any thing to add?

    Cheers,

  4. Hi,

I have the following for Dreamcast:

    Bleemcast Gran Turismo 2

    Mortal Kombat Gold

    NBA 2K1

    NFL 2K1

All are complete and in very good condition (i.e. no rental or preowned stickers).

Anyone want to trade for Dreamcast games on my want list?

Crazy Taxi 2, Datona USA, Dead or Alive 2, F355 Challenge, Gauntlet Legends , Grandia II, Hydro Thunder, King of Fighters 99, Looney Tunes Space Race, MDK2, Powerstone, Powerstone 2, Quake III Arena, Rayman 2, Ready to Rumble Rnd 2, Rush 2049, Seaman, Sega Bass Fishing 2, Sega Marine Fishing, Sky of Arcadia, Sonic Adventure 2, Starlancer, TNN Motorsports Hardcore Heat, Trickstyle, Wacky Races, Wetrix, Wild Metal

Please only complete games in very good condition. I will most likely trade both 2K1 games for one game on my want list.

    Thanks for looking,

    le geek

  5. As for the GameCube, Super Monkey Ball is where it is at.  I haven't yet picked me up a GameCube and probably won't until either a Perfect Dark sequel comes out or something else overly innovative, but Nintendo currently has the software I'm interested in...

That, and import Dreamcast games  :D   Anyone know where I can get a cheap copy of Samba de Amigo Ver. 2000?

    Ah,

but Microsoft just bought Rare and are taking Pefect Dark with them... But I've been importing DC games as well. I'd like to get Evil Twin, Space Channel 5 part 2, and Napple Tale

    Cheers,

    le geek

  6. I'd say yes, the Microsoft name is a negative for the Xbox. But if the price was down to $150 and more exclusive games came out for it (Say a Nights sequel, or Shenmue 3). Jet Set Radio Future is tempting, but not enough to buy a system for. Boy I'm starting to sound like a Sega fanboy...

That being said I already have a PS2 and if I had to do it over again, I would have waited. ICO is the only original game (ie not a sequel) for PS2 I've really thought was great. SSX is great but SSX Tricky is cross platform. I mostly play PS1 games on it (currently playing Arc the Lad 2). Granted I'm out of the loop as I haven't been renting or buying lately...

The Cube is getting more tempting with Sunshine out and Metroid + Zelda around the corner...

I think it's more about quality/number of games...

As far as PCs go Win 98 is still stinky as a professional operating system, but at least I know how to slap it around and really it's not bad. Plus it still does dos for z26!

I just got an iMac and will hopefully start migrating over slowly. More so because I do graphic design work and for some things a Mac really is the way to go.

If I had my way Commodore would still make Amigas, programs could still fit on a floppy, computers could be turned off without "shutting down", and computers wouldn't be for "everybody"...

    More than 2 cents...

  8. I would think that the worst part of obtaining Quadrun is the fact that it might be the only game missing from someone's collection and once you have obtained it, there is nothing new for the Atari 2600 to obtain (well maybe  new home brews as they came out but nothing from the original Atari).

They'll always be Video Life and Eli's Ladder to chase after! I doubt I'll ever get those...

    Cheers,
