New Pinball Arcade from makers of Williams Collection
legeek replied to ComputerSpaceFan's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Say, anyone playing the 360 version? I'd like to have more folks to compete against. I've got Moycon... My tag is legeek2112 Cheers, Ben -
Ridge Racer 3D is decent, but not worth getting a system for. I've mostly enjoyed some of the better 3DiWare games. Pushmo is a decent puzzle game, that I am currently stuck on. VVVVVV is a great port of a hard indie platformer with C64 style graphics (that I am ALSO stuck on, but mean to come back to). Mighty Switch Force is the best of the lot, a 2D puzzle platformer with levels just short enough for portable play. on VC, I really liked Tetris and Mario's Picross and on Cart: Resident Evil Revelations is an old school Resident Evil with modern production values.

That would rock. Addam's Family is my #1 favorite table! -

I happily chipped in and I have only participated in 2 kickstarters. Even though I'll most likely play the 360 version, Twilight Zone is one of my favorite tables. Now if we could just get The Addam's Family as well, I'll be in hog heaven. -
Atari arcade games which should come to xbla
legeek replied to bloodreptile's topic in Microsoft Xbox 360
Road Runner, Rampart -
For what it's worth, I would let the rest sit on the shelf (with the possible exception of Fallout NV), and go ahead and crack open Mass Effect 2. My gaming time is limited these days, but I made the time to play through it THREE times. It's probably my favorite modern game of the last few years. I hear you though, I'm still trying to get back to and finish up Deus Ex: Human Evolution, Metroid: Other M and Super Mario 3D Land, before I forget what I was doing!

You know, I think you could crop from the left instead of the right since the eye is drawn to the foot moving forward.

I can see what you guys are talking about now, particularly about the larger trend on the internet, as it is apparently written by younger folk who grew up on Nintendo (or later) and sadly do not have a sense of history, or are not willing to do any reasearch beyond their narrow band of personal experience. As they say, history is written by winners and there is noone in Atari's corner. Us old farts need to keep up the good word on Atari. I try to do my part on my site here, and also here, which is a fan print zine run by--oddly enough a guy who works at 1UP. Anyway, beyond the battery life, the LYNX is a great system, it plays my favorite versions of Rampart and STUN Runner.
-
For what it's worth, I owned a Lynx when it was out and loved it. If you really want to get pissed off at 1UP, find the homebrew article where they praise the Pitfall port for the NES and its IMPROVED controls!
-
Did any of you bother to read? "Unlike every other console on this list, however, the Lynx was arguably superior to its competitors." "The Lynx makes its way onto this list not because of any of its own inherent shortcomings, but simply because it was never popular."
