Oh yeah! It came today - check THIS out!

Very nice NIB gray Zapper! I got a Famicom light-gun last year for my AV Famicom, not NIB but hard to acquire. -
I saw this on Craigslist. I wonder if it works and what skiing game it's for. Anyway, thought I'd share. Maybe someone here is an N64 proto collector. http://sacramento.craigslist.org/tag/440522805.html

Is a 1987 Home Run cart very common? I also saw one with a 1988 copyright on it. Are these scarce or just very common re-releases? They have picture labels with red text.

Seeking opinions on Neo Geo Pocket Color & Games
nintendo replied to chuckwalla's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Yeah, I hate that too. But I'll still play it once in a while. And actually I'm planning to make a custom "light cover" for mine. Something similar to how the Atari Lynx sunvisor looks, but with a light angled toward the screen. It should run off a single AA or AAA battery. I don't know how I'll accomplish this yet. Do you think Ben Heck will do it? -
I had an Inty a while back. I had some games for it, but it wasn't a systems I would play too often and there weren't too many good games for it, so I sold it. Donkey Kong for the Intellivision seemed like a conversion of the Coleco tabletop game with those graphics.

Seeking opinions on Neo Geo Pocket Color & Games
nintendo replied to chuckwalla's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I have this system and some of the enjoyable games I own and recommend are Metal Slug 2, Metal Slug, Match of the Millenium, Card Fighters Clash, The Last Blade, and King of Fighters R2. All these games are fun to play and the movement of the character animations are fluid and not choppy. Dark Arms is also a good title that I think is worth picking up. -

Yes, it needs batteries to work. -
Coleco steering wheel disassembly

I took mine apart before. I think you just have to pull it apart carefully after you remove the screws. It might have tabs on the sides (inside) to keep it together also. Be sure to check if there are screws in the battery compartment that need to be removed too. Since it's not working, there may be some wires inside that need some re-soldering. Maybe the wires running to the battery contacts. I think that was the problem with mine. -
Just bought a PANASONIC MSX2 TURBO R. Besides playing games, what are some cool things I can do with this piece of vintage hardware?
-
I'm also looking for an MSX2 to play my copy of SD Snatcher and Snatcher. Can I play these on any MSX2 model?

The Super Gameboy adapter for the SNES is the cheapest way. But the best way is to get the Gameboy Player for the Gamecube. It has the ability to play classic Gameboy games, Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance games. So the Gameboy Player is the best way to go eventhough it will cost more.

New not-so-classic Classic Game Tees at Wal-Mart
nintendo replied to AtariMan1976's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I saw a shirt that had a NES, or maybe it was the NES controller on it, and it said "Everyone loves a Player!". I'll probably get it soon. ^_^ -
I have all these systems, but I prefer the NES because it has more games that I like to play and the games aren't limited to only a few levels like most Coleco games. But the Coleco did a good job of porting arcade games and was a good system for its time. I love playing Mousetrap on the Coleco.

If you are in the Uk and it is a genuine PAL unit, and not an ntsc one that has had the innards replaced - check what the serial number sticker says as all the confirmed PAL units have numbers very close and there is no 'fcc' declaration which there is on the ntsc units - then i beleive they go for something in the region of £200, i know pipster has sold one for just over this. I'm in the USA, so I'd like to know how much an NTSC heavy sixer usually sells for loose.

My newest creation: The SNES portable
nintendo replied to Longhorn Engineer's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Very nice work! Would you still be able to make it so you could plug the A/V cables into the TV, or use the 2nd controller port for 2-player games? -
I've salvaged the expensive components and destroyed the boards. It's something I always do, so that new revisions of PCB's don't get mixed up with the old. So easy to mistake one with a small alteration and find yourself soldering everything onto it by accident (been there, done that). The case cutting, connector/label removing is VERY tedious and time consuming. I've also only got a few donor carts left now as the connectors don't like being soldered in and out multiple times (they break quite easily). Which means, I'm probably going to have to request a donor cart with every order. Also, to save time, I might supply just a built board for guys (who can solder) to add the connector and case to (I'll supply a label). You can't go wrong soldering the connector on, very easy. You should actually tell people to remove the label themselves before they send you their donor cart, just to save you some time. Maybe make it a requirement or you add an extra $9 if you have to do it. Let 'em know. We can start removing 'dem labels right now!

Haven't read through this whole thread. So how much does a "heavy sixer" usually sell for? I mean just a working sytem w/o any joysticks or AC adapter. I may have found one that I can buy.

NOT AGAIN! WHAT IS A MATTER WITH THESE SELLERS?

NES High Score Club 2nd Season Week #20 - The Legend of Kage
nintendo replied to vdub_bobby's topic in NES High Score Club
Yeah, it's not a sequel but I'd at least say a spinoff since it pretty much uses the same game mechanics as Legend of Kage. -

There is a sequel/spinoff of this game called Demon Sword for the NES. -
What's the most you've ever paid for one game?
nintendo replied to AtariMan1976's topic in Classic Console Discussion
For a console game, over $200 for a complete copy of Snow Bros for the Mega Drive. For an arcade game, $692 including shipping. (Marvel Superheroes original dedicated cabinet with oversized marquee in great condition) My motto is 'You can always make more money'. -
I don't know where you can get the programmer now. Try emailing them. Seems they are sold out.
-
I have the Super Flash also. But you can't buy the programmer for the cart on Tototek anymore, just the cart. So no use in buying the cart by itself. I also have the flash cart for the Genesis/Mega Drive. Great products from Tototek.

Jet Set Radio is a fun game. You can create your own graffitt or download it from your PC and use it in the game. I also like Typing of the Dead, and Headhunter and Shenmue 2 (European releases). Power Stone games are pretty fun too.
