  1. I hope you find that watch! Keep us all posted once you do find one and let us know how your mom will pay for it.
  2. This is just a bump to let you all know I've posted pics of the actual cart.
  3. I got a Miracle Keyboard with stand for $7, Final Fantasy 7 for PSX $9, Star Ocean $9, Azure Dreams $7, Breath of Fire 3 $7, and Tales of Destiny $7. These games all are complete and have NO scratches on the discs. I can easliy sell these each for $30 on ebay. A great find yesterday.
  4. The only Atari systems I have are the 2600 and 5200. I'm in California, so there should be someone here that could help dump this.
  5. These are already sold!? Damn! No 8-bit lunch for me!
  6. How did you get these art pieces? Nice stuff!
  7. Don't even consider the FC Twin. Just get either version of the US SNES systems and mod it for Super Famicom games. Actually, just save up for the SNES 2 to put your mind at rest. That way you get the system you want (and the smaller styling) and can play the games you want (after you mod it), and don't have to worry about the cheapness of the FC Twin crapping out on you somewhere down the line. 'Nuff said!
  8. Today I found an Atari demo cart of Koalapaint for the Atari (400 or 800? Not too familiar with what Atari computers use this cartridge). So anyone else have one of these, and how rare is this cart? This is what the label says: KOALAPAINTER (ATARI) For Demo Only Not For Resale copyright 1983
  9. So, how is everyone doing with their PowerPak? I don't have too many roms to test, so could someone maybe post a compatability list (Please )so we can see at a glance which games are currently playable on the PowerPak?
  10. I think Survival Kids can be considered a good game to have in your GB library. It's also GB Color compatible. Popeye 2 is a good title that also hasn't been mentioned.
  11. Have you tried this info from Nintendo? : # Blurry or Out of Focus (Setting the IPD and Focus) If the image appears blurry our out of focus, you will need to adjust the IPD (Inter-Pupillary Distance) and Focus. To adjust these: 1. Go to the initial startup screen with Virtual Boy written in the middle and the squares in each corner like this: Note: If you are playing a game, press START to pause the game (you will not lose your place in the game), then press SELECT to get to this screen. 2. Rotate the IPD dial until you see the four squares in the corners. 3. Slide the "Focus" bar until Virtual Boy graphic in the center of the screen as clear as possible. # Image is Out of Alignment 1. Place a game pak in the Virtual Boy and turn the system on. 2. Make sure the Virtual Boy is flat on the table, then look into the Virtual Boy as if you were playing the game. 3. Press the A Button until you reach the game title screen and wait for the music to start. If the image appears blurry, you may need to adjust the IPD and Focus before beginning (see the above topic for information). 4. Use the Control Pad on the right hand side of the controller and enter the following code: Left, B, Down, A, Up. As with any code, it may take a few tries to get it to work the first time. 5. Once the screen with the horizontal and vertical lines is displayed, look away from the Virtual Boy for a few moments. Look into the screen again and press your face into the eye shade. Note: It is important to look away for a few moments to allow your eyes to readjust so you can get a more accurate reading of the alignment screen. The Virtual Boy is aligned normally if the vertical and horizontal lines cross each other. If the vertical and horizontal lines do not cross or if the horizontal line barely touches the vertical lines, the the Virtual Boy may be out of alignment.
  12. I remember back in the days of the NES, a game magazine mentioned Black Tiger was going to be released for the NES. I think they even had a screen-shot of it. To my dismay, the NES version never saw light of day. I also thought there was a NES versioin of Speed Rumbler for sale at a Toys r Us. Or at least they had a "coming soon" card for it. Anyone else recall that? Maybe it was all just an elaborate dream I had............
  13. I may have a Donkey Kong Classics in excellent mint-like condition I could part with. And I'm thinking about parting with my Pitfall w/box, manual in good condition. I'll let you know after I get them out.
  14. Not really. That would add more bulk to the system. And I think some one said you could fit all the NES games on a singe CF card. Not sure what capacity though, but I think at least a 2gig CF card could hold all the games. So no need for an actual hard drive.
  15. The R4 is just for playing DS games. You need a card that goes into the GBA slot so you can play GBA games. Get an M3 CF.
  16. You must also remember that the Wii is not selling so well just because of its motion-sensor controls. Its Virtual Console let's you play some NES, SNES, N64, SEGA Genesis, Turbografix 16, and soon-to-be Neo-Geo games. So the Nintendo Wii also has that advantage over the PS3. And it also supports GameCube games. So that's 8 systems in 1! For now. Nintendo provides gameplay variety in both how you play and what you can play. And those VC games also create an interest in the older systems it supports. Gamers will be going online searching for what titles were released for those systems, creating a further enjoyment of their Nintendo Wii on a nostalgic level as well even when they're not playing it. As third-party developers see a growing fanbase, they'll capitalize on it maybe by releasing compilation discs for the Wii. Software support and game variety looks very good for the Wii. Now let me do my evil laugh of PS3 death, "Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha....."! But seriously. It's the lack of games that shuns people from considering the PS3. And now that some developers are turning their backs, it doesn't look too good. If there were at least one great game for the PS3 to cause some praise for the system things would look up for Sony. But in the meantime Nintendo and Xbox are moving ahead while PS3 is standing still. Didn't this happen to SEGA Saturn? No software support, then no more sales.
  17. How's it working out for you? Seems to be working well on both A/V Famicom and the Super 8. I haven't seen any graphic glitches. Only some games won't work but I think those are mapper-compatability issues. I haven't tried too may games; maybe about 30. Do any of the English-translated roms like Sweet Home and Samurai Pizza Cats work? I think I have some bad dumps because the Mike Tyson's Punch-Out I have also doesn't work. The Earthbound proto works well though. I finally got to play Little Samson on my NES. I was always curious about it since it's "rare" and hard-to-find. It's a decent game so far. Haven't finished it though. Also, do any of the Dragon Ball Z Famicom games work with the Power Pak?
  18. Well, I just bought a Nintendo Wii last week. I felt excited because everywhere I go it's sold out. I found it at a local used record store and it was brand new. I'm sure most people know the feeling when you find a hard-to-find item looking you in the face. The very first new system I bought was the NES. When I saw the picture of the graphics for Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, and the other original NES classics, I thought that the graphics looked exactly like the arcade game. I decided I had to buy that system if the games were going to be arcade quality. Since Super Mario Bros. was basically arcade exact (graphically) I thought all games released for the system would also look exactly like the arcade. Boy was I disappointed after buying more arcade-port titles and finding the graphics were watered down. But of course this is still one of my favorite systems. When I had my first NES I would make sure to dust it and keep it all nice and clean. The release of the GBA SP was also an exciting time because it was the first Nintndo hand-held color screen with built-in light. I hadn't really enjoyed playing Gameboy games on the old black and white systems or the GB Color or GBA ,so when this came out I had to have it, no questions asked. Now I could really enjoy me some Gargoyle's Quest and Zelda. A used system that I was excited to get was the Colecovision. I had never played one when I was younger. I only heard about it. I bought one at a flea market and was excited to finally get one. The feeling of playing it for the first time with Mr.Do and Donkey Kong was: "Man this system is better than Atari 2600. This is pretty good for and older system, I need to find more games for this!". And thus my Coleco collection grew.
  19. The Netlink is a modem for your Sega Saturn to play Netlink compatible games with other players vie your phone line (no internet connection needed). Also with the Netlink and the included browser you could surf the net at 56k and download and upload save files for your games.
  20. I wonder if we could just solder some wire on a few pins in the GBA SP LCD to make an RCA video cable and that would do the trick. Maybe there's 3 pins (RGB). And I already know about the GBA to TV converter device that lets you use the old GBA to play games on your TV, but that's too bulky.
  21. That would be the Gameboy Player I knew someone would reply with a remark about the Gameboy Player for the Gamecube. But I just want to be able to hook-up the GBA SP itself to the TV and play games. Thats one of the reasons the Nomad is a cool system.
  22. RasterScan, before you sell that you should look inside that Gameboy and see how they wired it to output to the monitor. That might help those of us who are wondering how we can make our own cable to play the GBA SP or Gameboyadvance or Gameboy Color system on our TV. Let us know what you find.
  23. I'll take SOTN for $30 shipped. If not, that's okay.
