How many Vectrex systems were made? Just curious because I've never seen one locally so it seems like not that many were made.

I dare you to make a new casing for it made out of popsicle sticks or wood. Give it a try and let us know how it turns out. What else are you gonna do with it?

Don't sell. When you are a retired old man and have time to spare, your collection may be the only thing that will keep you going in life. Just remember to exercise too!

Be sure to contact the Better Business Bureau about this company too. They can make bad businesses pay for their insolence. http://complaint.bbb.org/

How many screens does this game have, and how fun is it to play?

Anyone know if there are any websites that have scans/pictures of complete issues of the Colecovision Experience magazine? The closest thing I can find are a couple of sites that only have some cover scans. I have the first issue and I'm interested to see what content other issues have.

I have both systems but if I could only keep one I would go with the Colecovision. It has more games that appeal to me than the 5200. The peripherals like the Steering Wheel and Super Action controllers also add to the fun and gameplay of some Colecovision games like Spy Hunter and Turbo.

Duke Nukem is linkable.

How much is a '77 joystick usually worth?

I think your NES is haunted...

Try: Recca: Summer Carnival 92 (VERY intense shooter) Gryzor (Contra with actual intro story/graphics and level map) Sweet Home Horror (a horror RPG by Capcom. Try to get the translated rom) Joy Mech Fight (nice fighting game) Crisis Force (good shooter from Konami) Those should be some good titles to start with!

But your gripe can also be applied to PacMan, Asteroids, Space Invaders, Galaga... need I go on? I knew someone would mention other games with one screen. But the games you mention are fun to play, unlike Wrecking Crap, I mean "Crew". But I see this game has an average score of 9 at gamefaqs. So I may have to give it another chance.

That slot is for the VCD card which lets you play VCD movies on your Saturn. You will also need to plug in an import converter cartridge (or GameShark) to your American Saturn play VCD discs with the VCD card. http://assembler.roarvgm.com/SatVCD/Satvcd2/satvcd2.html

My "Thieffy Village" sells all their Atari carts for $5.97. But they sell Genesis carts for .97 cents.

I thought Wrecking Crew was pure crap. Basicaly, if you've seen the first screen, you've seen the whole game. I can't believe it's not in the top 20 worst NES games of all time.

Thanks for the info supercat. So is it possible to modify a NES cart and use a single eprom to make a multi-cart for my NES? I'm not sure how it would work, since most homebrew NES carts I've read about use a chip for program data and another chip for sprite/character data.

Thanks for the informative replies. How easy/difficlut is it to make a "glop top" cart at home? It doesn't seem it would require as much soldiering, and space, as using an eprom. But you would probably have to first use an eprom and then open it up to use the chip inside as a "glop top", wouldn't you? Is there something similar (and maybe cheaper) to an eprom burner that is used to program the silicon chip which is used for "glop tops"? Has anyone actually used the "glop top" technique in any home-brew projects?

I have a few pirate carts for Famicom and Genesis and there are no eproms or other chips used on the cartridge. Just a blob of epoxy in the center of the chip. The Famicom cart doesn't have simple 'Mapper 1' type games either. It has several 'good' games like Ninja Gaiden 3, Super C, Contra Force, Batman, TMNT: Tournament Fighters, Mighty Final Fight. My question is, what is underneath that blob of epoxy? What kind of chip is used on such pirate carts to store these games that they don't even need any type of resistors/capacitors on the cart?

SNES is my fave. But I play Genesis too. And I believe that the Neo Geo Pocket Color is also 16-bit. Why isn't it included in this poll? Or does the topic pertain to consoles only and not systems?

Have you played the Sega Saturn version of Madden 97? And is it any good? I've seen it at a pawn shop, but wonder if it's worth playing. Is it similar to PSone versions?
-
I have to nominate Flying Warriors. It's like an action game that has some RPG elements mixed with a unique fighting system which makes for a good game you rarely hear anything about.
-
This sells for $20 used in Japan? Then I really got a deal on ebay last year when I got a copy in new condition with manual and cart for $12 shipped.
-
I have a cool Famicom multicart with Ninja Gaiden 3, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tournament Fighters, Samurai Pizza Cats, Super C, Contra Force, Mighty Final Fight, Shadow of the Ninja, Batman, and some other good games. It's the best multicart I've seen so far.

Why don't they have any gray-box variations on this site? They have the category but no game boxes are shown/listed.
