I have the separate titles - the Prequels for GameCube and Original Trilogy for PS2. They are fun though yes that final part of Episode 3 is annoying. I lost count of how many tries it took to get to the end with following Anakin with those jumps.

Well done on your acquisition. Those Atari 7800 cartridges you have are fun and really show off the system's power for arcade ports. If it's more arcade ports you want, try grabbing Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Mario Bros., Dig Dug, and if you can find them, Rampage and Double Dragon. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. There are other cool games for the system as well as the whole library of the 2600. May you have many hours of fun on the 7800.

I heard about Tower Toppler and how good it is. I may have to grab it. Granted, the Atari 7800 Double Dragon doesn't have the graphics and sound of the NES game, but at least it plays like the arcade game. And the collision detection is much better than the Sega Master System version.

I received Star Raiders at last. It's fun overall. The controls though take some getting used to. Pushing the joystick up makes you dive and pushing it down makes you climb which is not something I am used to. And the only skill rank I attained so far was "cook". Still, it's a good game.

Remember the Lost Vikings? That puzzle game was my favorite Interplay title. Sadly, I never beat it. The lines though that Erik, Baelog, and Olaf spouted were pure genius.

It's not exactly as great due to the fact that there's more of an emphasis on close combat as opposed to distant combat; you use your fists or melee weapons more than any sort of firearms. It's still fun though and there's plenty of humor. It's worth picking up.

I haven't gotten the game myself, but I do own and play Lego Star Wars and Lego Indiana Jones. My understanding is that the game is similar and anyone who enjoyed the other Lego games will like Lego Batman. I wonder what we'll see next: Lego Dukes of Hazzard? Lego Star Trek?

Speaking of Grover's Music Maker, was anyone able to identify any of the other songs in the "Name that Tune" feature? According to AtariProtos, some of those still remain unidentified.

For Xmas, I'm getting Keystone Kapers and Star Raiders for the 2600. While I've played Keystone Kapers, I've never played Star Raiders before. I understand it's a mix of shooter and strategy. How is the game anyway?

For me, it would have to be the NES Legend of Zelda commercial with that guy in black saying all those names of the enemies. "Octorocks!" "Peahats!" "Tektites!" "Leevers...AUGH!"

That sounds cool. I've beaten DW 1-4 and Dragon Warrior 7 for Playstation 1. I wonder what this Dragon Quest title will be like. Think it will have the job system from the third game that was also re-used in DW7? It'd be nice to have sages, thieves, clerics, paladins, dragoons, etc. in your party.

I plan to grab this game for Christmas. I hear it's a lot of fun. Once I play it some, I'll tell you all how far I make it.

Even with the blaster, I've never been able to beat the second boss. Midnight Mutants is very challenging. And it's more frustrating that there is no continue or password feature!

I've heard Excite Truck is pretty cool. What's even better is how you can play your own MP3s on an SD card as the music. I could easily put in some arena rock while racing. Some Scorpions, some power ballads, that'd sound cool.

Getting it is one thing. Beating it is another. It's hidden on the old Game Boy Color title Super Mario Bros. Deluxe. as a bonus. And IT IS INSANELY HARD!! I only made it as far as world 8-3. In fact, its high difficulty has been said to be the main reason why it was never released in the US originally. So just be warned.

Babbages...now there's a name I haven't heard in ages. I bought a PC copy of Eye of the Beholder from there. Anyone remember that old computer title? That was a chain IIRC. I guess buying games from chains isn't new. Nowadays, it seems that's where you go to get your games be it general department stores (Kmart, Target, Walmart), electronic stores (Best Buy, Circuit City), or specialty stores dedicated to gaming like Gamestop.

Old consoles don't die...they just keep on living in our hearts. Keep up with Warbirds. It looks cool.

Anyone recall the 1981 Midway arcade game Kickman? Also known as Kick, it involved a clown on a unicycle having to catch and/or kick balloons as well as Pac Man onto his hat. I remembered playing this in Showbiz Pizza years ago. Anyway, I understand that a home port of this game was planned for the Atari 2600 but never released. If we take this into account as well as how the Atari 7800 console is more advanced...could a port of Kickman be made for the 7800? Discuss!

Circus Atari is magnificent. It's so simple and yet so fun. And it has one of the best death scenes ever. I love it if the clown misses the see-saw and crashes onto the ground. His head splatters and limbs flail around. My brother and I would deliberately kill ourselves just so we could laugh out loud at that.

Hmm...I stand corrected. So the computer versions have the fourth level but the consoles don't. Would it be possible to put together a 7800 Donkey Kong homebrew that had the missing level in it?

I've sometimes bought games at Gamestop. I also make use of Kmart, Target, and Best Buy. I haven't had any bad experiences though with Gamestop as of yet. Sometimes I just get the feeling that people dislike chain stores in general.

The Atari 800 computer version is the only home port I know of with all four arcade levesl. The NES, Colecovision, and 7800 ports have three while the 2600 has only two of the levels.
