1. Actually, we're looking into adding this to Stella after the next release. I wanted to have it for the next release, but the integrated GUI and debugger is taking all our time. Steve 889915 OK, outside of it being enabled in the emulator, is there a standalone app that will capture video of the desktop (regardless of what apps are running)?
2. Yep, I have the same issue
3. It's available through the wayback machine.... Archive.org
4. Thanks! I had fun making this one. I may play around with it a little more and make it a little harder (with faster asteroids). It could be a while before I find time at home to mess with the audio, though. AM 880364 I remember playing this game in the arcade a looooooong time ago, around 1977 at the local 7-11. I think it was the first video game I ever played! It looks pretty good... The only real difference is the so-called "asteroids" were just dots... But having real asteroids is probably better. Here's a screenshot of the real game. 881098 Wow... there's a game I haven't thought about in 20+ years... I remember the Huntsville Space and Rocket Center had it as part of one of their exhibits, along with Lunar Lander. LL is still there, but I'm pretty sure Space Race is long gone...
5. I'm just getting a flickering blue screen when using my CC2 - is there any settings that are different compared to your other Pac-Man hacks?
6. Have you tried http://sta.c64.org/x1541shop.tml ? I bought some cables from them early this year, and everything went well... looks like they're still in business.
7. Are you using a switchbox? If so, you might want to try one of these instead: http://www.atariage.com/store/product_info...?products_id=42 You don't have to buy it from the AA store - they can be found at Radio Shack.
8. I was poking around in the AA store today, and noticed the Redemption adapters were gone! Are the permanently off the shelves, or will they be back?
9. And it's one heck of a great gaming system. It's really fast, far more so than the C64 due to it's sprite handling (I'm assuming). 876176 Er, not really The Vic-20 didn't have true sprite handling, whereas the Commodore 64 had dedicated hardware which could do 8 simultaneously (and even more through various tricks). You may be thinking of the Plus/4 and C16, which came out after both the Vic-20 and C64, but didn't have hardware sprites. The only reason I can think of that would make the Vic-20 seem faster is the fact that since it had significantly fewer pixels to deal with than the C64 (176x184 vs. 320x200), it could refresh the screen quicker when it came to straight bitmap manipulation.
10. I can't speak for anyone else, but I wish my dad had played more videogames with me. He did a little bit, but it just wasn't really his thing.
11. Basically, it was the precursor to the Commodore 64. 1Mhz 6502 CPU, 5K of memory, 22 character columns, etc. A very limited system, but at the time (1981-ish), the only really affordable home computer, listing at $299.
12. Even if there is a Flashback 3, it's not like it's a huge investment.
13. I don't remember it - In '83 my interests were already moving from videogame consoles to computers... so I pretty much moved seamlessly to a Commodore 64, and never really realized there was a "crash". Also, being about 10 had something to do with it, I'm sure I do recall buying Word Zapper for $4.99 at the local Revco around the same time, but I assumed the low price had to do with the game's extreme suckitude...
14. That is awesome... I was playing MULE on my C64 just this weekend. Great little game - I'll definitely be grabbing a copy.
15. How much did that run you?
16. The biggest issue with the C64 version (IMO) were the ludicrously long loading times between each level. Kinda killed the game when you played for a minute, then had to wait 2 or 3 minutes for the next level. You wouldn't *think* each level would take up that much RAM, but I'm no programmer...
17. ...and it's been developed primarily for PC gaming, whereas Bochs/VPC/etc. are more general emulators.

19. I have a heavy sixer and about 70 carts that I want to get rid of... would it be best to sell it as one big lot, separate the carts and the console, sell smaller lots of carts, etc.? By "best" I obviously mean "maximize my profit" Thanks...
20. There was a Commodore Plus/4 and a Commodore 16 - which were compatible with each other, but not the 64. They're both pretty damn common I like the original "breadbox" model simply because it was the original, and it's what I grew up with. And the SID chip is supposedly better. Commodore 64C.
21. Addendum: I'd be willing to purchase just the game - I don't necessarily need a Genesis with it
