  1. ET is an amazing game for the time frame HSW was given. The graphics are pretty good but its just that game is overwhelmingly frustrating in its difficulty and punishments. That is what makes it a poor game.
  2. I like the intro to gyromite... Its a shame its like, 5 seconds long...
  3. I need the Motorola 3200 Its a brick phone that uses a SIM card! Its the big one in the picture below
  4. I on the other hand do advocate the theft of mercedes. However, please be mindful of from who and where you choose your target.
  5. I had one of these a couple years ago. Gave it away to someone who I think later threw it out...
  6. Yeah well, one time I cut the cheese.
  7. Oh man I forgot about that one Home-Alone-genius. ...you owe me a coke
  8. I bought mine from rat shak and it works fine. If it starts to get crappy on you, just file it while its plugged on. (seriously)
  9. *slowly slides out of the room in a cloud of smoke making a scraping sound with his slippers as a few empty candy wrappers hit the floor*
  10. cheating Value Village is okay though, they only are chairitable to their executives. (Or 'Savers' if thats what they're called in your area)
  11. The reason is so they can have a (near) perfect score. Thats why they all have way more wins than losses because of sore-loser-ism. It's why I happen to have a zero win manymanymany losses record. (thats right, I stay it through) But thankfully metroid and I believe tetris fixed this problem.
  12. Technical specifications are not subject to opinion, doofus. The Jag has a 64-bit data bus. You can even open the system up and count them. So get over it. Like how people argue the 2600 was "4bit", hilarity.
  13. Club Drive is one the best games for the system graphically.
  14. I had a couple of live cockroaches in a cart once. Boy was I ever freaked. (My house was not and is not infested with roaches, where I got it was.)
  15. Hello, The 15th of March signaled the 4th Anniversary of the creation of the online based Ontario Atari Users group. This is just a note to spread the word some more in hopes to acquire new members, as well as to share our 4th year of operation. I'd like more than anything to set up a meeting this year and with enough members a casual get together could be possible. Okay then, hope to see you join! (8bits, STs, and Emulation users all welcome)
  16. Although I do question why you would want it.
  17. Again, somewhat I don't want to be saying im all that when I'm not. I can follow diagrams and solder somewhat decently and I know what parts do what. But I'm by no means an Electronics Engineer! True that
  18. Of course we didn't. We've only just started seeing the best of the 2600!
  19. It's not all bad, Dig Dug is a really good game!
  20. If you aren't actually left handed I take offence.
  21. edit: I recalibrated my multimeter automatically, and afterwards the POKEY shows 4.95v, the LS138 shows 4.40
  22. As far as the diode, I chose a 1N4148 When I had everything in there, it partially worked. When I removed the cap, it didn't work at all, when I removed everything but returned the cap, it worked again.
  23. Yes, I managed to build one a couple days ago (I wanted to be sure it was perfectly working before I announced it) All in all it cost me the following: $4.00 PCB $0.33 1489 IC $0.20 14 pin socket $0.70 worth of pre-cut wire $0.99 tantalum capacitor $0.25 worth of solder $0.99 DB 9 female connector ---------------------------- TOTAL: ~$8.60 with tax. Of course I now have a lot of parts left over because I had to buy in modest bulk. It works like a charm and I didn't need the resistor or the diodes (which I bought and later removed) It just didn't want to work while it was in there. Who knows why. The trip to the electronics store didn't cost me anything, since I buy a bus pass every week. I am very happy that I finally have an SIO2PC cable after wanting one for so long, but it took until now for me to finally have one. Apologies to Metalguy66 because I was planning on getting one from him, but I am somewhat electronically inclined...
  24. I guessed what you meant about pin 2 and 6, and when touching them together the POKEY comes in loudly, but somewhat dirty sounding.
