If they see that PS3 sales are low, then they're fools not to act towards lowering the cost. I'm sure they will lower the costs because I dont have high expectations for the sales of this console. I am not going to say it won't sell, just rather that Sony should realise they are going to suffer a highly notable drop in market share compared to last gen. So because of this, they will lower the cost of the device once they feel that it makes economic sense for them to do it. I suspect they're also waiting on better/more games to release for the console in addition to watching sales figures.

I think thats a little bit of a cheap escape. You didn't say ANYTHING about it being cheaper "for sony" We're totally calling you out on this one CPUWIZ!

Since the thing has no motion sensor, and was announced back when we still called the thing "revolution" I'll say this is hardly a ripoff.

I love how you try to blame it on his program. You're nuts, there is no way this could have done it. The program at fault is the one that made the image don't think you can get away blaming him for your mistake. And honestly, how it "wiped clean" (by this I interpret format or damaged) that whole partition I find it very strange. Something must have happened to the harddisk such as latent damage, or a power spike or perahsp even a virus or malware. Making a disk image though? I'll believe it if you can give me evidence.

Looks like a punched screw to me. Don't be surprised if it's been opened, doesn't work, has a broken key, etc. Oh cmon, I've a lot of cartridges with screw holes, PB cartridges are notorious for it.

Baseball cards killed themselves. Too many companies came in and glutted the market. Especially when popular players began having more cards than lesser players. Ebay just did what I mentioned earlier and exposed the sheer quantities of cards to the masses allowing people to see that "rare" doesn't always mean <10 in the world

Believe me, with the photo you see there, it would take a lot more effort than its worth. I would be surprised if that game got $100. Especially in the state it is in. When people fake something, they generally fake prototypes or shrinkwrapping. I am 100% confident in the authenticity of that cartridge. The patina, the wear, the hole, the marking. All that stuff is way too much effort after making a fake label and either plopping in an eeprom or substituting another game entirely. You would make so little money, its really not worth it. Now, if the game looked perfect, had a box, manual, and maybe even shrink wrap, there is some good money in that. But its not easy to fake all this stuff unless you were really determined, and verily your reputation would drop fast when people realise it's a fake, and they will. Take into account the good rating the seller has. Really, there is next to no chance anyone would fake a rarity 8 game!

Why would you bid on it? It only raises the price for those who actually want it. Second, real? of course its real. On a normal cartridge like this, that is almost a silly question. 8 is rare, but its not THAT rare.

One of the game stores near me won't sell Atari games for anything less than $10. Yet don't even consider trying to get even a quarter that selling games to them. him: "Twenty five cents is what we normally give" me: "and then you turn around and charge at least 40 times that?" He talked about having a CRATE full of sealed lynx games, I forget which, but a common title, $40 each. ugh.

When you die, I find its too easy to accidentally press the fire button and lose your score. I love how the aliens now move, I think thats great. The "levels" with different music is also nice, but perhaps you could try to include some sort of Gyruss/Dark Chambers/Pacman like interlude informing you that you're progressing and that the next level is on its way. Even something like a tiny second long ditty, a picture of the ship and your score/level number would be interesting. Perhaps a different set of enemies on different levels would be beneficial but I think limiting yourself to one type per level would be best. I don't mean to strain your efforts or your RAM, I'm just throwing out ideas There isn't any doubt to me that you've also thought of these ideas yourself, but perhaps its helpful to hear others agreeing with potential ideas you may have.

This is exactly my point, in the global scheme of things, there are way more of any particular product than there is a demand for overall. (There are exceptions of course, no need to list any, thanks) And because there is now global access to global quantities, the scarcity of a particular collectable is lowered a lot. I think we are on the same page in this respect.

Jurassic Park for the SNES (the underground FPS sequences) and Wolfenstein 3D were the first games to feel real enough to scare me. But I will admit Ive been frightened a couple times back in my MUD days.

The software I was using was a DOS based software, I forget what it was exactly. (I'll say sio2pc) The serial port on the 200LX is proper RS-232 but the actual port itself is a unique shape so you have to make a pin for pin adapter cable using little jumper like bits that fit properly in the spot. I recall having some issues, but believe I was successful in getting it working. the sio2pc faq says "SIO2PC will run on the oldest, slowest PC hardware." and I figured the 200LX fits the bill just nicely.
