EDIT: I am still looking for this game.
I'm looking for 2600 dark chambers, loose. Will request paypal address upon good offers

Let me know, I've got more collection loose ends to tie!
Note: the below offer for $5 didnt turn out as RickHarrisMaine did not have the game afterall. Not because I think $5 is expensive (I don't)

Thank you for the help, I now am receiving a copy

lock thread or whatever.

1280x800.
800x600 represents a very small percentage of users, that resolutio hasn't been a "safe" resolution for a couple of years, 1024x768 is now the "safe" resolution I feel.

PM me your price for Stellar Track + shipping to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
If I'm interested I can pay you with paypal.
I would prefer the picture label

Baseball cards are much more different than video game cartridges.
Too many companies were making licenced cards to the point where it was trivial to get who you wanted because there was just a glut.
While the same kind of glut killed 2600 production, 2600 collection is a different thing altogether. You don't have a dozen manufacturers for the same games, and if you do, those pirates in and of themselves are more valuable because of the much lower volume, unlike baseball cards which could be made extremely cheaply.

Is that a Zellers price tag?Indeed. Good eye.

ahaha, I recognised it too

The ps3
Well, maybe not right now, but in the future!
They're all early generation blu-ray players, they're all first generation cell processors, a lot of unproven technology. If the ps2 is any indication of sony quality then expect this one to be even worse!
The sheer heat of the system is also going to be difficult on the machine as the games this gen will try to push a lot of polygons to beat the 360 and compensate against the wii's control system.
The ps2 of course has the quantity to be widely available for at least a decade but depending on how the console goes this generation, the numbers may not be as gracious as the free reign the ps2 had.
As for older systems, definately the saturn and the dreamcast. the volumes just weren't there on consoles that are a lot of pieces. They both didn't have enough time to perfect their manufacturing process.
if I had to pick a cartridge console, I'd have said the "toaster" NES if there weren't a giant amount of systems and newly made clones that exist.
someone mentioned the portables, the Gameboy is definitely not gonna last with that screen. I've had a number of units that get a big mass of missing scanlines that just ruin gameplay.

Buy a broken PS2, gut it, shit in it a couple of times and seal it up real well. Send that.

While I was thinking something along the lines of this, Its nice to see that not only was I the only one, but you were the one to suggest it!

I do hope a physical object could be sent to Mr. Robinett in representation of our regards for his efforts.
Emails are nice to be sure, but this is the difference between a ROM image and a Cartridge!
He deserves a little something

Six switch. Chrome flip switches and woodgrain spell the console out for me to its 70s roots to a T.
Anything else is just... not the same.

Atari-Jess: Im real sorry you hate us but you have'nt a clue what your cursing
my friend.
I know exactly what I'm "cursing" and its a software patent. I don't need more information than that.
I can understand copywriting code, but a patent is ridiculous. You've taken away the very concept from the community for the next 25 odd years.
No one can even program a piece of code that even resembles but is 100% original code, this is what you've done.
Software patents HURT the open source community. I congratulate you on your efforts to develop something original but unless
you're patenting this so its not commercially exploited (that is to say, you allow people to code the same thing but with original underived code but at the same time prevent a company like microsoft from putting it into one of their wares) and have it as a "protection" in which you are sharing with the community, that is fine.
But unfortunately, you can say thats your intention then turn around and take it away at the drop of a hat. and since you've specificially said its related to the Jaguar GPU, I dont see who you're protecting this from other than fellow jaguar developers.
I still very much must disagree with software patents and I can only hope that reforms to the USTPO legislation will help resolve this "problem" in western thought.
I am ideologically opposed to software patents, but very pro-copyright. edit: that is, sensible copyright, not endless extension legislation to save mickey mouse from the public domain.
-
This is why my opinion of the jaguar community isn't the highest.

It's the freaking jaguar, peopl
edit:
Oh, and I am also against software patents in general, but this one is just beyond silly, its for a console that has fringe/minimal interest and potential.

Its a good thing missile command is so awesome at least

No keyboard. a keyboard will make it too complex for the average user. The option to plug in a usb keyboard is the way to go because if you make it proprietary then well never get our hands on one.

Actually It's the 2ghz, I should edit my post, its not the 2.6.

I didn't actually.

According to AA did-you-know: "Secret Quest was the last game released for the 2600 in the U.S."
Is this absolute? meaning, is this genuinely the last Atari branded 2600 game ever released for the US?
What is the evidence?
If we're going by model numbers:
Ikari Warriors Red CX26177
Radar Lock Red CX26176
Xenophobe Red CX26172
Motorodeo Red CX26171
Secret Quest Red CX26170
It would appear not to be the last released.
If you go by the labels Xenophobe and Motorodeo both have copyright dates of 1990. The rest say 1989.
However, this of course doesn't mean it wasn't, the game very well could have been simply the last to be completed, manufactured, and put on the shelves.
I would just like to know what proof there is to back this claim.

The opened one is gone, the closed ones are still available.
