  1. Look at it from a rational point of view....perhaps they don't really hate the CUBE itself as a machine, but rather, hate the lackluster SALES of their products on the Cube! Software companies aren't in the charity business. They make a product and expect it to sell, so they can continue to operate and bring out more product.
  2. This! Specifically the Ms. Pac-Man and Defender champs! LOL!!
  3. I wonder how much they paid the cheerleaders to participate in the photo shoot? You can just tell by looking that they're thrilled to be there!
  4. Yes, SF Cave/Cave Run are definitely winners There's tons of good games...simply check out one of the download sites for the Palm OS. A few of my alltime faves (I've been using a Palm PDA since the Palm Pilot Professional model): *BoxMan (Free) *Galax (Galaxian clone, not free) *Invaders (SI clone, free) *SIberian Strike (awesome 2D vertical shooter) *Kile's Quest (enduring 2D RPG with tons of add-on mods...not free) *Ancient Red (Diablo type game) *Biplanes (Combat style game playable via IR) *Dreadling (buggy 3D FPS shooter...hard to find, but kind of cool) etc.
  5. The article can be found here! http://www.classicarcadegaming.com/contests/Nov1982 Believe it or not, the guy with the plush toy is Billy Mitchell, the guy whose current claim to fame is the fact that he played the first perfect game of Pac-Man back in 1999. I've actually seen him in person at a recent Funspot Classic Gaming Tournament and the scary thing is he still looks the same (80's style clothes, etc) except he now sports a MULLET!!!!
  6. OMG!!! THERE'S MORE!!!!!!! LOL!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!
  7. Many things! For starters, the classic 1980's style, from the hair to the clothes! Many of us grew up during this era so it is quite humorous to see what gamers looked like back then..specifically the "l33t" gamers of the era!
  8. The one standing over the Defender machine (red plaid shirt) is especially funny looking!
  9. There you go! #13 of 123 total carts! TeH R4RE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. 1. Apple II 2. Macintosh (original M001 model - complete) 3. Commodore 64 4. Timex Sinclair (not complete, but works) 5. Commodore Vic 20
  11. Every now and then I'll post up a nice little rarity from my collection for a fair price. I'm not that hardcore of a VCS collector, so I'd rather someone who really needs/wants this for their collection take it and put it to better use than me. No sense hoarding it. This is the standard 2003 Holiday Cart that the AA Store made available. The label has a depiction of some 1940's-era woman clad in holiday-themed lingerie. Rather odd, but what can you do? Anyways, when you power up the cart through a VCS, you'll get an alternating image of the label art which is pretty impressive due to the resolution and color being generated by the VCS. The reverses itself left to right which you can stop with the difficulty switches. Anyway, these were limited edition carts. This particular cart is #13 (out of a total production run of ???) and is flawless with the original protector baggie. This is cart-only. No manual or box were produced for it. My references are solid. If interested, send me a PM! Oh, and another thing, I'm not looking for any trades at this time as I have more than enough games to keep me busy for most of my life!
  12. Just so you are aware....no light guns exist for the Neo Geo CD or home systems. As for "cheat devices" they don't exist either. You can thereotically add a debug chip to the cartridge systems (involves soldering), but I don't believe the CD systems are enabled for a bios/debug chip. Maybe you should research this a bit. Go here: www.neo-geo.com
  13. *scremas atop of his lungs*-"NOOOOO......." Meh. Fear not. Just get yourself a copy of Diablo II for your PC or Mac. Better game presented in glorious 2D and better online play.
  14. Perhaps. Either way, it was sort of an odd logo to use for a gaming system. Especially in the U.S. Check out the logo that the British Cochlear Implant Group uses. Remarkably similar, no? http://www.bcig.org/public/public.htm
  15. At best, many people who see the graffiti will look at it and think "My, I wonder why someone spray-painted a Cinnabon on that wall" as they continue on their daily tasks. Waste of time.
  16. Yeah. Single player gets old really fast. Online, it's fun for a bit. But it's nothing like the old Phantasy Star games, save for the character styles, some weapons, and locations.
  17. There, there now. Missing out on a $19.99 value is nothing to get worked up about.
  18. Solomon's Club was the Gameboy version, I believe.
  19. Probably a good thing, considering it would be the NES version. Not that the NES version was a bad game or anything, but it was changed quite a bit from the arcade original (surprise surprise) and it lacked any sort of save or password feature, meaning you'd have to beat the entire game in one sitting. I did it and it's not something I'd ever want to do again.... Rygar on the NES was incredible! It was a fairly early title and I recall be amazed by the scenery and backgrounds (parallax scrolling, vivid sunsets and mountains). There were many NES games that didn't have save or password. Blaster Master and Super Mario Brothers immediately come to mind. Those marathon NES sessions were a good time. As for batteries in this unit, I've picked up rechargeables. Especially handy with a digital camera. A little more to invest initially, but in the long run well worth it! It may just be me, but I was never a fan of the NES arcade conversions in general as they were rarely ever spot on, but rather, had elements added to them which were unnecessary....Strider, Double Dragon, and Rygar instantly come to mind. But yes, the marathon gaming sessions were fun (unless the power went out) back then when many of us had more time. These days, we're so used to instant game saves that many of us can't imagine a game not having them.
  20. I know. Space Harrier seems a bit off as well. Also note that Hang On has a "Shenmue" sign in the background...not good for the purists....
