  1. It's not harsh, it's just that I have too many game systems as it is and I just don't have the time to post and repost ebay auctions for this stuff (I refuse to sell the entire collection as a complete bundle since I'll only get a fraction of the money I spent on it). Let's face it, used Jag systems don't exactly fetch big $$$ and to continually post things on ebay also costs time and money.

It's a great system, but I have to systematically cut down on my collection of games and systems since I'll be moving into a new place real soon!

  2. i have the following:

    FCC ID: EBAJ8001

    ATARI CORPORATION

    MADE IN THE USA

The serial # (barcode) is a sticker:

    K13C003462

There's no indication of the date of manufacture. It doesn't matter since this system is being sold anyway. If I have no takers on my ebay auction (comes with 2 NEW controllers, A/V cable and 2 games by the way!) I'll simply throw the Jag into the trash as I no longer have any use for it.

  3. No, I don't own the CD.

I assure you that this is what happens as I just tried it to be absolutely certain. I'm not sure how old this Jag is or when it was made as I got it as a bundle deal on ebay several months ago.

I'm looking to unload my Jag collection. Check the marketplace forum for the URL to my Jag. I also put Rayman on ebay as well. I'll be systematically putting the rest of my games on ebay over the next few weeks. Just got my XBOX and no longer have a need for the Jag.

  4. Whenever I power up my Jaguar without a game, this is what happens.

1.) The LED light DOES turn on.

2.) You hear the Jaguar "roaring" sound.

3.) The Jaguar Logo scales into the screen.

4.) Finally, the screen turns RED with the Jaguar logo still on the screen.

Atari Jess, if your does not do this, you may have a defective unit. The same thing happens if you don't insert a cart correctly. I just tried it with my console and these are the results.

  5. I have Tooth Protectors and that definitely does not sound like it.

In Tooth Protectors, you're this little guy who runs side to side along a row of teeth armed with a deflector stick. The enemy constantly spits out cavity-causing dots from above. If you let too many of these particles hit the teeth, you can hit the fire button to halt the game and call up a quick sequence where a toothbrush, dental floss and bottle of ACT flouride (a shameless plug for Johnson & Johnson products...the sponsors of the game) "clean" the teeth and thus keep tooth loss from occuring.

I think he may be thinking of Plaque Attack or some other such title.

  6. I've played this game thoroughly and have never seen any initials. When my parents first bought me this game when I was in second grade (1982), I first thought that the urn pieces were letters. Then I read the manual and realized what the pieces were for. I believe the rumor may be based on this.

  7. I understand that PowerDrive Rally was produced with two different boxes. I believe one features a photograph of the car and the other version features a drawing of the car.

My personal copy has the photographed car. Can someone confirm this? Once again, I remember reading the facts about this on some website but I can't seem to find it.

  8. I bought Mystic Quest back in 1993 the day it was released (I needed something to tide me over until FF3 was released!) I thought the game was very easy and "dumbed-down," but I still enjoyed the game and I proceeded to beat it several times. You gotta admit, the soundtrack is pretty good for an RPG.

Did anyone else besides me ever send in for that free 32 page strategy guide? I got it like 2 months after I beat the game, but it was a cool collectors item!
