My best friend has BATTLE CHESS and he let someone use his guide and that person has since moved and that person lost it and now my best friend can't play the game without it.You have to type in a move before you can play, I guess they did this so the game can't be copied.
Any kind of help would be great, thanks
I've got that manual. Did you still need help with it? I just read this post and its a little bit old now.
Lemme know. :-)

Well, you can apparently play Flashback on an upgraded Atari now.
There is a port of Reminiscence for MINT it seems. I've been playing it under Linux and it works pretty darn good. You do need the original DOS data files but thats not hard to find. :-)

When you buy an ps1/2,gc, xbox, psp,ds etc all your really buying is Atari technology in someone else's box. wouldn't you rather buy ATARI technology in an ATARI boxSure would. I'd give my left testicle if things had turned out differently. :-)

Well, even if its not true, I wouldn't have been a bit surprised if it was.
I mean, look at Sonys' Playstation case design and the unreleased Atari Falcon 040 - Sony even mentions it in their patent document!
I consider it a compliment to Atari that the ripples from their influence is still felt, even to this day. :-)

Oh man, the hours I spent on:
Ultima III
Ultima IV
Ultima V
The Bards Tale
Amberstar
as well as some of the ones previously mentioned in this thread:
Dungeon Master
Legends Of Valor

I like several different platformers on the ST:
Gods (as was mentioned)
Chaos Engine
Blood Money
Leader
Turrican
Zool
Okay, maybe some of those aren't exactly platformers but they are fun nonetheless... :-)

Hi Everybody!!!
Could someone please explain to me, in detail, how to make the port
extenders for my falcon? I need cable extensions for: DSP/spkr. and mic,
vga, modem, printer, maybe scsi, and the two enhanced joystick ports. I am not concerned about the cartrigde port.
I have found several online places to purchase the idc d-sub connetors, and flat ribbon cable. I've noticed that there various types of flat ribbon cable. Which type am I supposed to get?
Folks, I need all the info you can give me. I'm just about ready to order parts, and I'd like to get my Falcon/CT60 in it's new home before this time next year.
Thanks to all of you,
I think you can e-mail Wizztronics and they will provide schematics for just about anything needed on re-casing a Falcon. IIRC. My rack case from them came with a cartridge port extender.

I'd be interested in installing an IDE interface into my Mega ST, with a TOS 2.06 upgrade.
I'd be willing to pay $120.
How extensive would the soldering be, for the ST line?
Thanks.

Sam, IIRC you did buy the Wizztronics rack case, right? If so, then Wizztronics does sell a lot of custom stuff for a recased Falcon. Even things they no longer sell, they still have schematics and diagrams for them, so it should still be helpful.
See ya!

Hmm, not sure. I've never tried to use more than one drive at a time (aside from an EZ135 drive, which I had no problems with).
You're not running up against TOSs partition limit in some odd way are you?
I think I might resort to mailing the HDDriver author directly, or post a message to comp.sys.atari.st or tech, I believe he visits there every so often.
Good luck, sorry I couldn't help more.

Get in touch with Brad Koda at Best Electronics and get one of his replacement mice. Its a bit pricey, but very good quality. I don't think you'll regret it. :-)

Hmm, did you run the HDDriver program in the auto folder first? My understanding is that doing this installs itself into memory so you can do the rest.
This worked for me on my Falcon 030. I just put a new Maxtor 80 gig IDE drive in it.
HTHs.

What is your favorite ST game ??
