I dont even notice the flicker or flashing when I play in emulation on a 17" compaq flatscreen monitor,There is a decent amout when I play it on my 27" sony on a 7800 but it doesnt really bother me. No siezures for me! if it doesnt work out for you could just resell it.

Sure have and ebay's where I found it paid between 35 and 40 shipped if I remember right and Im pretty sure that was just for the case no extras.I'd say you did okay there.
