Never called them tapes. I understood them as being like an electronic version of the papers in a player piano that didn't move. And, the definition of "cartridge" as an Atari game is so burned into my mind that whenever people mention a "cartridge" of any kind, I think "game cartridge." Most people at school were assholes; never traded with anyone. When I was a little kid, I smashed open a D battery, because I thought there were all kinds of things going on inside. This thread is amazing I have to agree that the Genesis always seems the most beat up. As far as a story is concerned, I gave away a PS1 to a bud, and I thought it was clean, but he cleaned every little nook and cranny, complained about it afterwards, and also removed the PSM mag pirate sticker from the top. He then put it under a dust cover and never plays the games I specifically selected for him, nor will he rent the large selection of games available at a nearby video store

Meh...I was happy with the PS1. I have yet to play a modern game better than FFVII. The story is the thing for an RPG. I don't need 3D all the time. The other types of games...I love the 2600.

They were both so profoundly disappointing for very different reasons. Biggest movie: shitty game Biggest arcade hit: shitty game Hell, you coulda had ET running away from cops and throwing Reese's pieces, or a Pac Man with only 2 ghosts that at least looked like the arcade game. Any schmuck coulda done better on both games.

Having eaten both in a sandwich, I'd say that E.T. is worse.
