  1. 71 views and 1 reply? Throw me a bone, people. I did the search already.... :l
  2. Yeah...I'd heard of them...I just didn't get anywhere with a search Thanks
  3. Did a search for "FB2 easter eggs" and "FB2 hidden games" and got nuthin'. Please tell me what they are and how to get them, and if they DEMAND that you have paddles or not Gettin' right into this little FB2
  4. King_Salamon : Funny...as I was writing a draft of my review, I noted Hangman as well, as I'd never had the cart either. I was going to suggest Circus Atari be included instead (awesome game). "The games that defined a generation?" Not Hangman. Who chose these games? Still a great item. Had another Adventure session last night. Those dragons are hilarious
  5. Do all the Canucks have it now? I'm losing track PONG, Adventure, Combat, Yar's, all getting well played...Halloween was HH and Return to HH with EXTRA SPOOKY ghosts Lunar Lander: Bleccch Where's my ORIGINAL Asteroids (cotton candy version)? Bah...still a great item
  6. Always wanted to, but never owned a C64. Sound slike a good idea, though. How about a Colecovision, too
  7. Totally. I've heard this called a "retro fad craze" since 1995. That's like calling ELvis and the Beatles a "fad craze." Today's games are photorealistic, but that doesn't mean that they are fun. Pac Man is still fun after all this time, and always will be. Ditto for PONG. The Atari style is just that–a STYLE. Blocky and bleepy, but still FUN. It is not antiquated old shit, and every new piece of crap a total blast to play just because you have an entire orchestra playing during the 3D CG cinema cut scenes. Like I've said for a long time now, gimme a game such as Adventure, and give it dozens of ducky dragons and a monster size playing field---use the Atari 2600 style and make it huge, and I'm BUYING. Offer another Matrix turd and I'm IGNORING. Ya hear me, Atari?
  8. atwwong: I was thinking about stuff like Lunar Lander. Blech And yes, like always, RTM applies. You were right Brockville still sucks. That goes DOUBLE for the mayor
  9. Heh...this is a fun thread We can't let it die until all hosers have their FB2s. atwwong: Is there another link for all the games' authors? I wanna know where to lay some blame (not really their fault-not enough time to develop). Yours is good, though. Funny---always wanted HH as a kid, and now, I get a new HH on Halloween night, and can email the guy who made it Can't wait to review the FB2...but gotta make sure I don't step on any toes. So just RTHH was from here, then? BROCKVILLE ssssssssssucks
  10. Yep, Quadrun says "QUADRUN QUADRUN QUADRUN" when you start. My Stella has been screwed for months, so I couldn't verify it with Stella, as my stupid iMac was sold to me without the original startup discs (wrong discs-can't do a full reinstall). atwwong: Um, thanx for all the quotes, but is Return to HH yours? I still don't know BROCKVILLE, you sssssuck!!!!!!! King_Salamon: Yeah, I also heard about the C version, but who wants to wait until 2006? Plus, it may never happen. My review is coming soon....if anybody is interested As I understand it, the games were made by an outside company. Nobody here worked on the new games, right? I kinda like Return to HH, but the others.....hmmmmmm
  11. Atarilovesyou: Yes, now you ARE the only Canadian without an FB2 I know it was the topic of a thread I started (which got killed), but there's NO EXCUSE for not having one. Mee hee! You better get one or we'll make you watch Leafs games and eat GENERIC macaroni and cheese atwwong: I know I should already know this for sure, but is Return to Haunted House yours? The footsteps sound great in HH. Return to HH has scary, fast ghosts I'm loving this thing. Awesome FB2 (edit: the cheerios disc won't run on mac. back to the FB2)
  12. GOT IT 46 bucks with tax at the Zellers on Bayfield in Barrie, Ontario. Happy Halloween I'm playin' Haunted House tonight :!:
  13. Canadian mediocre band: Barenaked Ladies Album title: GORDON http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...=glance&s=music BACK TO THE FB2 :!: Phoned Zellers in Barrie, Ontario. They said they HAVE IT, but until I get my grubby hands on it, it could be old FB1 stock. My mission for tomorrow: To verify
  14. A spiffy unit with modern outputs that don't need modding. Some of the games are my faves. Real old style joysticks. New games, yes. Supporting the Atari name and keeping Curt in a job That's aboot it
  15. Every other asshole in this country is named "Gord." This means Zellers in Barrie probably won't have it. FUCK (pounds fist on computer desk-bowl of Kraft Dinner hits the carpet) Tabernac! Just stand back, folks...nuthin' here but angry Canadians
  16. Typical...with so many errands and no car, I was 15 mins late for Zellers > Checked at Future Shop and Wal-Mart...nuthin. I hope Zellers has it, and that I can get some more confirmation on the revision from you brave types
  17. Rumor has it that you might see beadie little eyes and flapping heads 956325[/snapback] Hehe heh.......I just got that as I was about to ask what you meant Pretty sure I can get to Zellers today
  18. Hmmm....I thought Midway did do a good job.....which games were bad with Midway? Seems like the Taito collection is great, even if you didn't play Phoenix that much. I played it a LOT! Is Curt out there? Anything on the box to tell us we're getting a revision:? :? I DO NOT want to buy a buggy unit Will try to get to Zellers tomorrow...lots of errands to run :/ THE CANADIANS ARE GETTIN' WORKED UP, BABY! (but we promise not to make a mess or anything)
  19. So, is that it, gang? If it has Quadrun is it totally revised? Are there any serial numbers on the box for us to check? How does Manitoba beat Ontario? Hee hee
  20. Any extra DVD stuff? Here's the list from amazon: Taito Legends collects 36 classic arcade titles, from a company that dominated in the 80s and early 90s. Not only will you have a complete arcade on your PS2, but you'll get to explore their development -- watch interviews, study development artwork and even sales flyers & arcade cabinet art! The classics include: Operation Thunderbolt Phoenix Space Invaders II Colony 7 Electric Yoyo Zoo Keeper Elevator Action Great Swordsman Sea Fighter Poseidon Gladiator Scramble Formation Exzisus Plump Pop Rastan Super Qix New Zealand Battle Shark Continental Circus Plotting (aka Flipull) Volfied Aqua Jack Ninja Kids Space Gun Thunderfox Double Axle Dungeon Magic Rayforce Tube It Bubble Symphony Darius Gaiden Pop n Pop How's Phoenix? What was the price here in Canada?
  21. Damn...the price is a little more than I thought with 15% tax added Still, let me know that it's the frickin' REVISED edition and I'm in. I got a Zellers not too far away from me
  22. Okay, I'm watching this thread for confirmation that the units are revised. Maybe Curt would know, too? Are the Canuck shipments revisions? I do NOT wanna buy the buggy version >
  23. ABOUT M THERF CKING TIME :!: And I STILL can't get one until I get verification that the ones we're getting are the REVISED units
  24. I intend to review it on my spiffy new website (if the FB2 ever comes to Canada) http://www.crowetv.com/
