It was no surprise to me. I had a fairly good working relationship with Atari UK and knew that the company was just a shell, sales were non existent and almost all products had been canned. It did well to last as long as it did as it had been this way for some time.
It was odd to realise that Atari who looked on the outside to be a big corporation with global reach and sales was now almost a mom and pop operation held together by a few dozen staff. Very sad.
For me, possibly the most underrated game in the A8's catalogue. Fantastic gameplay, real depth of strategy, amazing graphics (how were they done, look hi res and in colour.?). I used to play it non stop against a friend.
