I bought a mystery activision cart with no label once and it turned out to be an enduro prototype.

Well the story on this one goes that these were the first "Protos" that BE sold when they were in the bussiness of lets say "Selling Protos". They aparently had a very limited number of CLEAR cases lying around that were, as far as I know, legit atari made cases that they used for sending out test samples. They supposedly ran out of these quickly and opted to start throwing games like bugs bunny and dukes of hazzard in generic cases with similar stickers on them (Like the one in the pic that Tony posted). Now whether or not best put these together or atari did, I have no idea. I owned the cart for about two years. I believe I got it in a trade from Legeek from atariage. I thought the guy I sold it to was cool. I was honest about what I knew as far as where it came from and he made me a trade I couldn't refuse. Kind of wish I wouldn't have traded it but if I had to do it over, I probably would. The oddest thing about this one is that all the "fake" quadrun protos best sold were real roms; all the clear case ones were eproms. Hope this helps clear up some stuff.

Well, not really any more but they were held in higher reguard not too long ago.

I just wanted to mention that there are people that bought both Halo and Halo 2 that don't give two shits about the "Campaign". It's all about the multiplayer. I'm glad the shitty "Campaign" is shorter so they could fit more levels/options into multiplayer.

I do both. It's better that way. Really though, the only two games in my collection I've spent a lot of cash on are quadrun ,river patrol, and rescue terra I, and they are all really great games. After I find a cheap out of control, I'll pretty much be done collecting 2600 unless I sell all my arcade games.

Don't forget trying to ramming certain Tigervision titles into it. Some don't fit cause of those damned platic tabs.

Wow, I wondered what happened to this post so I looked it up. Good job Ron! I also wanted to mention that it is possible to jump over the tanks on the fastest level but like you said, timing is everthing with this title.

Missile command is the superior title. Asteroids and combat are both fun too. Don't buy atlantis, ICK! Go for an Activision or Parker Brothers title like Pitfall! or Frogger.
