My Want List for atari 2600
MattG/Snyper2099 replied to maximebeauvais's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I have for the 2600: Cosmic Swarm (PAL) Dishaster (zimag) Tanks but no Tanks (zimag) I want my Mommy (zimag) Spy Hunter (grip case) King Kong (manual too) Target Fun (sears) Outer Space (sears) Spacechase (blue) Dice Puzzle (panda) I'm trying for trades for 2600 games I need at the moment. I'll do multiple games if you have something I'm looking for that is worth more than what I have listed above. There are some rarer manuals I'm really looking for on my wanted list too. Have a look and see if you got spares of anything I need. Sent you a PM also. -
Stargunner on the higher difficulty settings is my guilty pleasure. Most can't stand this game. And can't forget about x-man
-
I'm fairly certain that Tony (cincinoyti) has this box as well.
-
I have a x-man catridge - what is is worth?

LOL! Now THAT was funny! -
7800 Collection is finally complete!
MattG/Snyper2099 replied to MattG/Snyper2099's topic in Atari 7800
My games are about half boxed w/inst, half loose. The 7800 is a system I play... don't really care about the boxes. Most of the ones I have boxes for were just easier and cheaper to find new than loose. -
I know that best electronics sells a "kit" to modify your 4 port 5200 to work with the VCS adapter. However, it seems to me there is only a couple of resistors you have to replace. I'm I incorrect in thinking that bestelectronics is charging people for information that should, IMHO, be available for everyone to view for free in the 5200 FAQ? Anyone here ever peoformed this MOD? How elaborate is it?
-
Damn, it took me forever to get that MotorPsycho. (6 months!) Now I've got to get a KLAX! I hope to post some pictures of my 7800 collection but I don't have a digital camera yet. Anyone else getting close to having them all?

Help! Asteroids doesn't want to work...
MattG/Snyper2099 replied to MattG/Snyper2099's topic in Arcade and Pinball
I have tested my asteroids PCB in a friend's cab. and it doesn't work. I know I have a bad board but now I don't really know what to do. I've cleaned/reseated all the roms as well as conponents that have been repleaced. Is it worth it to try and fix it or, should I look for another board. I just saw an asteroids deluxe sell for ~$50 last week on epay. I just don't know if it's worth my time, or anyone else's to try and fix it. There's an asteroids PCB on ebay right now I'm thinking of bidding on. Opinions anyone? -
Is there going to be a cinciclassic this year?
MattG/Snyper2099 replied to IceCold's topic in Events
I'm going to go look at a location this weekend where we can definatly hold the event. However, it may be way TOO big for it. It sounds very promising at this time but, to squeeze the event in this year might be pushing it. We're trying for either mid- November or early next year for the next Cinciclassic. -
Help! Asteroids doesn't want to work...
MattG/Snyper2099 replied to MattG/Snyper2099's topic in Arcade and Pinball
I've still not had much luck. I'm fairly certain that the PCB is the problem. I tested all the board test points with a multimeter and the "DISP" one isn't getting anything. So, I think this means "video out" and it isn't working. I'm going to try and pull the roms and re-set them. This is frustrating! Oh, the audio board is getting 5V+ and there is an audible hummmm from the speaker. I think this is normal though. Edit: I've cleaned all the feet of each of the roms, reinserted them all and still nothing on screen. Anyone know how I can test the filter cap to see if it's bad? -
Ok, I have a stuburn Asteroids cab. that doesn't want to work. I've installed a cap kit. Both 1p and 2p lights stay lit and don't blink (I think they are suppose to?) The cab is very, very clean and none of the contacts are worn, there are no bent pins on the wiring harness, and as far as I can tell, the the audio board is good. I've looked into the bottom of the cabinet at the filter capacitor and everything looks very solid there. I guess it could be bad but I don't know? There is no sound, monitor has glow, pcb led light is on, monitor led is on but slightly dim (is this normal after a cap kit?). Test mode doesn't work. I've read the Asteroids repair FAQ on the net but that didn't help much. Anyone have any ideas?

Complete Company Cart Price Listings!
MattG/Snyper2099 replied to MattG/Snyper2099's topic in Atari 2600
I was really doing this for insurance purposes. It's easier to keep tabs on titles this way. I meant for this thread to be a work in progress so please voice your opinions. I agree on the atlantis II so I've changed my value accordingly. I really wasn't thinking on that one. I didn't use or reference any source but my own experiences over the years. I don't own all of the companies listed but I'm getting close. I don't see NTSC Mangia selling for $500 so, until you can prove it would or wouldn't, I'm keeping it where it is. If I only get crap for two listings I feel pretty accurate at this point. I've edited the first post because I didn't think a couple of comp's were accurate. Most noteably Xonox and Parker Bros. -
DISCLAIMER: These prices reflect what I think complete collections (loose carts only) of these US companies are worth as a whole set, NOT individually. I didn't bother to do companies with only one title for obvious reason. Homebrews, prototypes, and label variations are not included either. These are only my own personal opinions as well just to clarify. I have been collecting games for 8 years. I don't know why I wanted to do this but here goes: 20th Century Fox $80-$100 Absolute $15-$25 Activision $220-$250 Answer $900-$1200 Apollo $125-$150 (no lochjaw) Atari $1500-$2100 (this includes pepsi invaders,NTSC motorodeo, ikari, and BMX) Avalon Hill $350-$500 Bomb $750-$1000 CBS $20-$30 Coleco $125-$150 Commavid $2000-$2300 (video life and magicard accounted for) Data Age $20-$25 EPYX $10-$15 Exus $150-$200 Froggo $20-$25 Imagic $550-$700 (cubicolor NOT included,Atlantis II is included) Konami $25-$40 M Network $50-$75 Milton Bradly $15-$20 Mystique $75-$125 Mythicon $10-$15 Panda $120-$160 Parker Bros. $200-$250 Playaround $120-$170 Sears $120-$150 Sega $75-$125 Spectravision $350-$500 (including NTSC Mangia) Starpath $125-$175 Telegames $60-$100 Telesys $75-$125 Tigervision $450-$500 Ultravision $350-$400 US Games $50-$75 Wizard Video $80-$120 Xonox $350-$450 (includes variations) Zimag $60-$80 Post if you think I'm crazy, full of crap or both. [Ducks for cover...]

I'm interested in the skateboardin' box. -
Anyone interested in a custom Vectrex cart ?
MattG/Snyper2099 replied to CPUWIZ's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I would like a protector but, I understand if you're not "allowed" to do that. Also, would it be possible for you to make an Animaction cart? -
Yup, Wall Ball is getting hard to find now a days. I paid $15 or $20 for mine w/instructions about two years back. Nice find gamerz!
-
Back to the topic here... I asked Dan to bring his Ikari and Motorodeo to Philly this year since I was very skeptical and wanted to see them first hand. (Which he did to my amazement.) I should get a finders fee from Tempest... Just kidding Matt On a sidenote, Dan Mowczan had a NTSC Motorodeo back in the day (1998ish?) but I'm sure he doesn't any longer since he sold off his collection a few years back.

Well, I've added some stuff and updated my want list as well. I have a 2 port 5200, power supply, 2 joysticks, ect. available for trade as well. Also looking for neo geo MVS carts still. http://home.fuse.net/snyper2099/available.txt
-
Ok, I'm kind of shifting gears here. Since I haven't been able to add many games to my older classic systems, I've decided to search out some MVS carts I've been wanting. Let me know if you got any. Region is unimportnt but I'd at least like a label on anything I buy. Here's some below I'm currently looking to buy/trade for. WANTED MVS CARTS: Puzzle Bobble Metal Slug,X,2,3 and 4 Samuri Shodown 4 Windjammers Neo Mr. Do Neo Bomberman Magician Lord Double Dragon Any shooters...

I have 27 red label NTSC carts. (Not counting homebrews, hacks, ect.) I am missing Motorodeo,Ikari Warriors, and BMX Airmaster. So, I think there were 30 total. Correct?
