  1. I found an enduro prototype at a flea in Panama City Beach when I was on vacation for .99 cents back in 1999. :P I've found 3 copies of Mr. Do's Castle for colecovision for $5. I don't find rarity 9 or 10's for under $5 but there is always hope...

@rsiddall, do your swords of saros and survival island have "serail numbers" printed along the back sides of the cassettes? Please email me if you don't know what I'm talking about. If you do, what are the mumbers on each of your cassettes?

  2. Yes,

I think that for this post, everyone's answer would be different:

    For a bartender: Tapper

    For a pilot: Tomcat F-14

For an athelete: Decatholon or track and Field

For a Private Investigator/Policeman: Private Eye or Keystone Kapers

For a Teacher: Basic Math/Math Gran Prix/Alpha Beam w/ Earnie

For an amusement park ride operator: Circus Atari

    For a fortune teller: Ghostbusters

For a race car driver: Pole Position

    For an accountant: Tax Avioders

For a cyclist: California games/Motocross Racer

For someone working in a fast food resteraunt: Pressure cooker/Fast food

Anyway, you see where I'm going with this...

  3. Ok,

Is it just me or is Espial impossible to find? There hasn't been one on ebay in 4 months now! Certainly it has to be rarer than a 6! It comes up less frequently than halloween or any other rarity 7 cart for that matter. It even shows up fewer times than most rarity 9 carts!

Also, are Sword of Saros and Survival Isalnd really 8's? I've been watching ebay for 6 years now and have only seen these one time each.

I have an additional insight to the swords of saros/survival island games. Does anyone else own copies that have black numbers on the side of them printed like serial numbers? My carts read "36" and "37" and I am wondering what numbers other peoples' carts have on them? I think it is highly unlikely that more than 500 of each of these games were sold by mail order. Shouldn't each of these be a 9 or a 10 if these numbers are accurate?

    Ms. Pac-Man

Anyone help me out? I'll have all this stuff in Philly so, if you want to set up a trade, shoot me an email. ;)

  5. sku_u,

I can tell you THAT copy of Boing is in exellent condition as I've played THAT particular copy before. (Party at Chucks house last month). It sucks that he's selling the good stuff out of his collection. :(

  6. I will have lots of games to choose from and my good friend Bill will be there with lots of games too. I really am looking to sell my Virtual Boy KIOSK at the show. If you're at all interested, please send me an email. *Chough, cheap plug, chough, cough!*

Don't mean to seem crazy here but I know between the two of us, Bill and myself have way over 1000 carts to unload at the show. Everything ranging from dirt common games for $1 or less to extremely rare games for $100 or trade only.

Most classic systems will be represented at our 2 tables. 2600,7800,NES,TG-16,vectrex,ect,ect. We have 20 collecting years between the two of us so we just hope to walk away from the show with a couple games we don't have in our collections. I also really want 4 particular homebrew items as well. :)

These are some of my goals for the Phillyclassic show this year. I was such a "virgin" last year and didn't know what to expect. I was blown off my ass last year! This year I am much more prepared for the eminant chaos.

I wanted to mention that last year I did have some really good trades and a couple great purchases on Saturday. So, don't get all bumed out if you can't make it Friday night.

  7. Wanted to post some comments in this thread:

MegaManFan- Great to chat with and even though we haven't traded yet, we're planning to in Philly. :)

Rob Mitchel- I have known Rob for many years now and there isn't a nicer guy around!

Scmor92- I bought some games from him and we're working on a second trade right now. Very good communication on these dealings. :)

Moycon- What can I say? The balogna sandwiches stunk up my mailbox pretty bad! J/K!

  8. Yeah, that really makes me wonder though. I mean, is my best electronics bugs bunny proto only worth $20? I sure hope not! :? :? :?

    @Megamanfan,

Back in the day (1997 ish), Best Electronics sold a lot of "prototypes" they aquired from a warehouse find. They had quite a large variety of titles to pick from as well. The only problem with them was that none of the ones they aquired had cases, they were all PCB's only. So, they just stuck the pcb's in whatever cases they had on hand. They are considered "real" prototypes by most but, less desireable since the quantities that best sold are unknown AND they are in a generic case. The only one I think Best Electronics made a label for was "Dukes of Hazzard". I know Best's hasn't sold anything like this for years though. It's not like you can buy these anywhere now a days. So I really CAN see where CPUWIZ is coming from here since this game is impossible to find and quite expensive. But, the reserve may have a lot to do with the highest bid.

Wow, anyone remember when Best Elec. had sealed copies of Bounty Bob Strikes Back for the 5200 for like $29. Wish I would've bought a couple cases of those!

Whew, I really got long winded on this one, sorry!
