  1. Yes, I physically encountered these, and apparently just after the shelves had been stocked.
  2. I was thinking more 2600 Centipede myself, but now that you mention the 5200, I can see that.
  3. Over in another post, I mentioned the Rampage and Joust shirts at Wal-Mart, and this Atari one was between the two stacks. I suspect a Ready Player One tie-in. ($7.50 for the shirt, sizes S-3XL)
  4. Back where they have the licensed t-shirts ($7.50 a shirt no matter what the size, S-3XL) in Wal-Mart, I saw several new stacks including Rampage (prompted by the new (very loosely) adapted movie) and Joust (prompted by the tie-in with Ready Player One):
  5. Damn cheap glue. I wonder where it was sourced. Did someone decide to press the cheap button and save pennies per cart? The mysteries of video game history abound.
  6. Sell them individually here, or at least the rarer ones, and then you can put the commons together in a small lot if you feel like doing a bit less work.
  7. Open them from the other side (spine).
  8. Given the condition of the box, I'd open it.
  9. I'll go back to Wal-Mart tomorrow and see if any are left. If anyone wants a set, I'll mail it to you for actual cost + actual postage. Merry Christmas.
  10. I picked up this 5 pack recently from Wal-Mart (under $7). Makes a great stocking stuffer for the Atari enthusiast this holiday season.
  11. FB 8 Standard with wired joysticks on sale for $30 at Dollar General, 11/19-11/22
  12. Cool video! While we live in an age of easy reproduction (of all media), it's great to see the original art preserved.
  13. Coding to the Metal will be the name of my band's next awesome record.
  14. This is a great movie for Holloween:
  15. My copy came from the great South American find of the early 21st century. The box has a manufacture date of 10/1990 as does the manual. The back of the box is stamped copyright 1990, Atari Corporation. Interestingly, the cartridge has copyright 1989.
  16. Man, I tell ya, I wuz E.T. basing the other day, like really butt-wildly free E.T. basing, I mean Night of the Living E.T. Baseheads, and bro, I tell ya, I saw this damn E.T. like just levitate out of a hole. Made me lose ma sh!t. I've done a lot of hard stuff, but I don't think I'll ever E.T. base again.
  17. The 3 Decathlon patches are more like 3.25"; Dolphin, Kaboom! (both Atari and Colecovision), Laser Blast, Oink, Spider Fighter, and Stampede are all 3.5"; H.E.R.O., Private Eye, and Space Shuttle (Pilot) are 3". (Worm Whomper is an oval.)
  18. Oops, sorry, didn't read it closely enough. Of course Atarimania already has a scan of the 100,000 point letter - http://www.atarimania.com/2600/boxes/hi_res/laser_blast_i_8.jpg- and Rom Hunter knows that, but your auctions don't include the original letters, just "a Modern SCANNED COLOR COPY of the original letter from Activision"
  19. Digital Press has a scan: https://www.digitpress.com/dpsightz/patches/laserblast_2.pdf
