  1. Hmmm. Says I'm only at 30%, so please try to send again.
  2. Dear Fellow AAers, Some of you know that I am a university professor teaching in a Game & Interactive Media Design program. I am proud to keep video game history alive for the students in the program so they can better understand fundamental design principles as well as have a sense of what has come before and where they may go in the future. To help with that endeavor, I have started to collect video games from across all platforms and eras, hardware and software, and even merchandise, too, for student use and reference in our game lab. My intention is not to compete with The Strong Museum, although they are certainly an inspiration. Thus far we have a little bit of everything: a couple of Atari 2600s and a small collection of carts, NES and SNES games, PS2 games, an original Xbox and games, a DS Lite, a few arcade coin-ops (BurgerTime and Ms. Pac-Man), one of those Midway multicabs, and even a claw machine. A few weeks ago a Virtual Boy just sort of showed up. We also have a good selection of board games. I am in the process of cleaning up one of my spare Colecovisions and I grabbed a RetroN 5 to play those NES & SNES carts, although my preference is for authentic hardware whenever possible. We also have the last two generations of consoles. What I am asking is for you to please consider donating anything that you might have but don't want that is related to gaming in any way. As the university is a 501©(3) organization, I can issue tax credit for anything you might like to donate. (Within reason - no eBay "$500 Pac-Man" carts.) I wish I had a budget for acquisitions, but at this time I am starting small. Thank you for your time and consideration in reading this. Please PM me if you would like additional information or to make a donation.
  3. The title of your creation is sheer genius. Highly marketable.
  4. I got a veritable cornucopia of gaming l00tz. Very nice! This will only be the second homebrew I have ever owned. Greatest American Hero was a favorite of my younger days, and I actually don't own it on DVD. (Interesting aside, I met both William Katt and Robert Culp on separate occasions and each gave them papers I had written about their work - House for Katt and The Outer Limits for Culp.) The issue of Nintendo Power will fill a hole in my NP collection.
  5. I know this thread is a few months old, but I'd like to say thanks to the folks who threw my name into the ring. Right about the time the vote this year was happening, I went in for some routine knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus. Well, it was a bit more complicated than had been anticipated, and then my liver went haywire due to the meds I was on, and then my right retina developed a bubble because of the stress my body was under, and long story short, what was supposed to be a 2 week recovery has now entered its seventh week and counting. I seem to be getting better thankfully. Anyhow, again, thanks for being remembered. I am keeping the Atari spirit alive with my gaming students. We actually have two 2600s in the game lab now and a small (20 titles) library of carts. In one class we screened the E.T. documentary and then I had them play E.T., and they all agreed it was actually not bad and kind of interesting given when it was made and how short the dev cycle was. Then I had them play Fire Fly to see what a "bad" Atari game is like.
  6. Untested but was working...depends on how much you want it. Start off at $40 and see what you settle on.
  7. Just a story. The rest of the prizes were returned to the Franklin Mint. Many feel that the company melted them down to reclaim the value of the metals and jewels, although some think that they were sold years later as part of asset sales.
  8. Not sure if it is "the one", but it certainly should make a very short list: the personalized copy of Raiders of the Lost Ark that HSW made for Spielberg.
  9. "zonn-ix" according to this commercial:
  10. Back in 2006, Direct4Games in the UK was blowing out Telegames' old stock, and before they got prickish about things you could get some really good deals; they were selling CBK:PS for 9.99 GBP (or about $20 then).
  11. I don't know what the max # of stickers you'd be willing to send to each person who expressed interest, but my feeling is you could wind up ordering a huge quantity of stickers.
  12. Could be Return of the Jedi since Endor is the home of those delightful Ewoks.
  13. Looks awesome, I would buy some and stick them around.
  14. Before this thread gets moved, Shawn already provided the pertinent info, but here's a link to the game's entry: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-enduro_12070.html
  15. Personally, I put this CIB at $1000, but maybe it has gone up (or down). Still not as rare as boxed Air Raid. There was actually a CIB Video Jogger at E3 this year.

I have the record and the poster:
  17. As a collector and player with 35 years of Atari experience, I will gladly offer you advice provided you pay my consulting fee. Please PM to set up a payment plan. Toodles!
  18. This is blue? http://atariage.com/screenshot_page.php?SoftwareLabelID=556 Just asking as I don't own the cart. I see where running it in emulation produces a blue Leatherface. I will pick up one of the figures. I have many of the other NECA video game releases.
  19. atari181 got a Blackjack back in February. That's the only one I've seen in many years.
  20. I am missing Blackjack, Maze Craze, Pac-Man, Surround, and, if it exists, Backgammon.
  21. My games are all boxed up because I'm moving next week, but I'll get you the pics and info later this month. It will actually be nice to have my Atari games out and accessible again. I've seen references to Backgammon having a grey box, and while I've seen pics of the late release cart, I have not seen the box to confirm a grey release.
  22. I do not include Hangman in this group. It is in its own unique category. Here's my copy of Outlaw. I do not own Backgammon, but I've heard it exists.
  23. Does anybody have all of the grey box releases? These are the ones I know of: Backgammon BASIC Programming Basketball Blackjack Bowling Brain Games Canyon Bomber Codebreaker Demons to Diamonds Flag Capture Fun with Numbers A Game of Concentration Golf Home Run Maze Craze Night Driver Outlaw Pac-Man RealSports Volleyball Surround Swordquest - Earthworld
