  1. Wow, didn't see this video until now. Game looks like it has (or had?) potential!
  2. Mine was Antic. Such a cool mag! I even rememeber the issue (and still have it) June 1984 where it looks like Indiana Jones is climbing into the Atari cartridge slot! http://www.atarimagazines.com/antic/ I tried Analog too, but it was harder to come by in my area and seemed a little too techie for me. After that it was Compute! Since then... nothing (well, other than my own Atari Times stuff.)
  3. Get well soon, Curt! We Atari fans need you!
  4. Other than some of his over the top language, I love the Nerd. He verbalizes the contempt for crappy games that I hold inside.
  5. Actually he likes to play Atari. I've got my Flashback 2 hooked up to his TV in his room. His favorite game is actually Outlaw! Great story! I think classic Atari games could go a long way towards helping autistic kids.
  6. Yep, can't get much better than Adventure!
  7. Been wanting to start a series of videos, so I had this idea of introducing my favorite games to my son... Here's the first one. Be as critical as you like, I know it's not perfect! I just have fun making these and it takes my mind off of the stress at work! Wife thinks I'm nuts, but that's okay. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPxKpHCzDUE
  8. Yeah, I still have that competition cart. Actually just dug it out of the garage the other day. So I live in Winter Haven (home of Legoland Florida!) which is about an hour from Orlando. If you guys set something up I'll see about coming. I've got a couple of Atari things that might be interesting.
  9. Oh yeah, I played the crap outta that game. I was another who could have just kept playing forever, but then I had to go to the bathroom or go to sleep... Unfortunately no pause button...
  10. My opinion: Because it was Atari's last desparate attempt to dump the Jaguar stock. It was rarely seen and so very lame.
  11. Well, they obviously expect it to be taken by the trashman... How would they know if you took it instead?!
  12. I liked 2600 Pac-Man back in the day... Wrote an article about it...
  13. Put it this way: I'll take the worst of Star Trek any day over the worst of Star Wars. The only thing good about Star Wars was the OT. The rest of it is garbage. You've got Jar Jar stepping in poo, Qui-gon ruining the mysticism of the force, the "fantastic" acting skills of Sam Jackson and Hayden Christiansen, Yoda flipping around like a deranged frog, and on and on... Ugh. Not to mention how George Lucas slaps his fans in the face everytime he releases yet another CGI revision of the OT. So, yes, I'll take Kirk and Spock in Star Trek: The Motion Picture any day over that over-CGI-ed nonsense that George passes off as Star Wars thesedays. Shoot, I'll even take Capt. Archer!
  14. Hmmm... What about if you have your games on the SD card? Can they be recovered to work on another Wii?
  15. Back in the early 90's I worked for a car wholesaler in Orlando. He had a bunch of old trailers in the back and when I looked in one there were several old arcade machines. The one that stood out was a sit down Red Baron... Of course I never thought much of it. Guess I should have bought it off him back then...
  16. Except why does the beginning of that video sound like porn? My wife thought she caught me watching something I shouldn't!
  17. Love STUN Runner... A port similar to the Lynx version would be good on the 7800. The ST version... Ick. It's horrible. I'd love a Jaguar version, but I'm not sure it'd be a good idea to port the ST version.
  18. I have a red DS, but you wouldn't know it because I've covered it with a rubberized protector. I say it's okay to get it as long as it can be covered up!
  19. What I find funny is how big the Wii U controller is (the one with the screen.) Seems to me when the Jaguar had a big controller, the media complained...Hmmm...

    5200 Tempest

Yeah, I woke up for this one.
  21. I stopped updating my copy of MAME years ago. Everytme I did, half my games would stop working! And perfectly fine working games too! I think the MAME crew is just waaaay to obesssive about perfection. Especially when a game is already 99.999999% perfect.
  22. Yes, one day downloads will take over completely. Which is cool and all, but that will also prevent those "evil" kids from selling their used games! Something the software publishers have been vocal about lately.
  23. Does Raiders of the Lost Ark on Atari 2600 count?
