Phbtt... I have a Blu-Ray player and I hardly ever use it. I watch most stuff on my DVR or Netflix or YouTube. So it might not have been a wise decision to eliminate DVD playback on the original Wii, but on the Wii U, it's even less important.

My opinion: Intellivision = 90% of the games are boring and/or overly complicated. TERRIBLE controller. Atari 2600 = Endless pick up and play games that are fun! Includes the world's most perfect controller.

Hmm... Amazingly, I was watching the animated movie "Titan A.E." last night which is similar to the story Emmerich might do for Asteroids. Earth is destroyed by aliens and humans are marooned in space with no home. Not exactly the "original" idea purported in the article.

When it comes to emulators (especially 2600 ones) the only thing I care about is near-perfect colors/sound, joystick support, full screen with the correct aspect ratio, and *FAST* loading. All the other stuff is just unnecessary IMO.

Wow, Willow is a great game. I finished it over a weekend when it was new and I wasn't much into those type of games. Never played Crystalis.

I enjoyed the 8-bit version of DK better than the arcade version. It just feels a lot smoother. I always get hung up on the ladders of the arcade.

Advance Wars is awesome. I literally can play that game forever. In fact, I think I'll go fire up Days of Ruin right now...

No problems with mine. Just noisier than I thought it would be. I can only imagine how loud the original is!

Here's the REAL question: Will the next (significant) revision of the DS still have the 3D capability? Or will it go by the wayside?

I bet the new controller won't have real buttons or a joypad. It'll all be on the screen.
