  1. Sounds like something that needs to be written!
  2. NFL2Kx is definitely the best football games I ever played. They're actually FUN and it's a great help to be able to see the actual play on the playfield.
  3. So I guess the general consensus is that Super Football was the best? Does anyone like RealSports Football (2600 or 5200), Football (2600), NFL Football (Lynx), or Troy Aikman Football (Jaguar)? And wasn't there an M-Network Football game for the 2600?
  4. With the Super Bowl coming up (go Bucs!) I was wondering what everyone felt was the best football game for an Atari system? This could be just about anything that has appeared on a cartridge...
  5. Yeah, but it does get mentioned a bit as well. Don't you mean "Newt" instead of Rebecca Jordan?
  6. There are many reasons, I suppose. Nostalga, "gotta-catch-'em-all," the fun of the hunt... But why do you enjoy collecting games? For me, it's the fun of being able to play a game I never did as a kid. I'd always see these cool games in the magazines or catalogs, but never got around to buying them. Collecting those games now (that they're cheap) is a ton of fun! Ok, now YOU go.
  7. Man, you guys got a lotta stuff! I've got: Atari Systems 2600 Six Switch (My original from when I was a kid) 2600 Vader (Given to me by a close friend) 5200 (Wife won from an Ebay Auction) 7800 (Bought when the NES was huge) Lynx I (Given to me as a HS graduation gift) Lynx II (Bought when they were closed out by EB) Jaguar (Bought right when AvP was released) Jaguar CD (Bought the day it was released) 400 (Given to me by a co-worker) 800XL (Bought new) XEGS (Given to me by the same co-worker who gave me the 400) 1040 STe with 4 Meg RAM (Bought new & upgraded) Non-Atari: NES Genesis Dreamcast Sports Gameboy Color Nuon I wouldn't mind finding a ColecoVision or an Intellivision, but I'd never pass up a reasonably priced Atari that I didn't already have. (But I've got them all, pretty much.)
  8. Yeah, I knew of at least two Atari dealers in Tampa... A-Ardvark Music and A-Online owned by Allen Skaggs. Allen came to my wedding, but I haven't heard from him since!
  9. We ought to figure out how many people here at AA (or even just Atari fans) live in FL... Then we could think about holding an event.
  10. Is the game the same as the Atari versions or is it just a similar name? Like Galaga on the 7800 is not the same game as Galaga for the 2600... Latest guess: Sentinel (But I'm guessing you want the NES game title...)
  11. All answers have been given except for RealSports Baseball? But there was no NES version. We need another clue or some direction. What answer are you looking for? 2600 game title, 7800 game title, or the NES game title? It can only be one of these games, since each had a 2600 and 7800 version but did not appear on the 5200: * Commando * Klax * Desert Falcon * Winter Games * Double Dragon * Summer Games * Dark Chambers * Rampage * Pete Rose Baseball * DK Jr. * Donkey Kong * Kung Fu Master * F-14 Tomcat * Ikari Warriors * Xenophobe * Crossbow * Fatal Run * Super Skateboardin' * RealSports Baseball As far as I've been able to tell, every game on this list has been guessed.
  12. Super Skateboardin' (7800) Skateboardin (2600) ____ (NES) Don't know the name, but I know Absolute made a few NES games. Thought I guessed this already... Ah well.
  13. Hard to argue with you about that!
  14. How about Tomcat: F-14 Fighter Simulator?
  15. All this Catbox stuff got me wondering... Did Aircars ship before the Catbox fraud? Because I can't imagine ordering a game (or anything from ICD) knowing the stuff Harker has done. Yet, I have a copy of Aircars...
  16. Looks good! Glad to see Atari was included! One thing I wonder about: Why wasn't one of the most influential RPGs in history included... Dungeon Master? There was a Sega CD version I believe if you're were just making it "Console RPGs" (Even though the page titles say, "History of COMPUTER RPGs.") ??
  17. Yeah, chip tunes are terrible. But I've heard some demos that'll knock your socks off! I'm looking for ANY music on the ST that was good. Digitized or otherwise!
  18. What are some games on the ST that feature excellent music? Epic is one, http://www.ataritimes.com/files/epic_intro.zip Gods is another. What about some more?
  19. I would probably use it except I can't figure out how to get it to work with a MS Sidewinder... Strange, but 2600 emulator interfaces aren't up to snuff with some of the other emus like Handy, Atari800Win, STeem, or even Proj. Tempest.
  20. Ah! So you're the one that came up with that! You should read my Blue Lightning review since I mention that part of the manual. http://www.ataritimes.com/lynx/reviews/rev...elightning.html
  21. Is it different to say Kung Fu Master since that was the name of the Atari versions but not the name of the NES version?
  22. Definitely a port. Defender 2000' classic mode is much smoother than the original. Minter had to get Eugene Jarvis' approval of this port before Defender 2000 could be released.
  23. I'm not an engineer or anything, but I think if someone was capable of building a Catbox from ICD's schematics, they would also be capable of building one from scratch. All they'd need is the JAGUAR schematics which I believe are widely available.
  24. Jeez, looking at the price for Quadrun when it was new makes me wish I bought it back then! How much does it go for thesedays?
