I was a member of GCP back in the day .. I LOVED IT. Aside from the awesome Lord of Space game, there was also an awesome multiplayer TANK game. I was SO disappointed when they closed shop because it was SO AWESOME for what it was, when it was! There WAS chat as well as a private chatting area where you and another person could meet up and have a private convo. It was CUTTING EDGE!!!!

It's only vaguely mentioned in post #3, which I somehow missed when I initially browsed through the thread.

Well I just received some Atari controllers to test this Retrolink adapter with. Works great with a standard 4 way joystick, but doesn't seem to work with paddles AT ALL.

Believe it or not, there is nothing. But I have some prospects. I might have something by next week.

I received mine today! Sadly I have no Atari computer to plug it into yet. I hope to remedy that soon.

Never mind I figured it out , apparently buying spells costs XP as well....

I can't buy anyspells at all until I've spent 100 gold on other non-magic items. The game just keeps telling me I can't afford it until then.

I've never played Ultima before, so I figured I would start with the first one. I want to try being a caster -- so I create a human wizard and give some higher stats to wisdom and intelligence. But I am only able to buy spells if I leave myself with at least 100gold after the purchase. If I attempt to buy a spell that would bring me below 100g the vendor tells me I can't afford it. I'm playing the Atari 8-bit version of the game. Can someone tell me if this is this a bug or expected behavior? Thanks!

Too much work. I'd rather it be done for me. I'm lazy.
